Very neat place has potential, if better staff were hired. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience for my first time here. Some of these reviews on here can be misleading or maybe there was just better staff present on their experience. I entered the establishment in hopes to finding a good read. When I was let down by the lack of customer services. I was greeted pourly by one girl with blonde hair. The more I was walking through the store I was amazed at all the neat merchandise and books available. It would have been even more pleasant if one of the girls that were working there ask if I needed any help. Instead, I got to hear one of the employees loud narrative of her personal problems as the other girl entertained them. It was very unwelcoming and unpleasant. They were so wrapped up in their own gossip then tending to the store or (me) the customer needs. I had to be the one to apologize by interrupting their conversation. Very unprofessional. I ended up asking if they had a book in stock I was looking for. They had a different one by the same author and was shown where it was. But no further suggestions after that. It’s sad to see such a neat store be lead by pour employees . I sure hope the owner knows what they are doing and maybe be more vigilant when their employees are around to see how they treat their customers. Hopefully the staff will be...

My granddaughter and I enjoyed this store she had a $5 budget and she found something she liked so we left 😊. I have been by a few times looking for gifts they have good selections and items that help children think. Thank you for your inquiry. I love this place. Its my favorite store in Ruidoso. The woman that works the astrology and tarot area is super helpful. Answered all my questions respectfully, gave me tips, and even suggested alternatives when I couldn't afford what I wanted. It also has a kids area too, with all kinda of neat toys that my 2 year old loved. Its like a tiny Hastings/HotTopic/Spencers all mixed into one.
