On December 30th: A disabled veteran was in front of us with his very well-trained service dog. The manager told him the dog couldn’t be there unless he showed him papers for the dog. The dog was extremely well trained, staying healed and seated. Our family trains dogs and knows there is no requirement to carry paperwork nor is there any established ID regarding the disability you have. HIPPA and civil rights laws cover that. The customer told the manager he doesn’t have paperwork, never has. Real service dogs MAY have an ID card but those are not required to present. The Veteran explained to the manager multiple times: The Veteran told the manager“ There’s two questions you can ask:” “ Is that a service dog? And what is that dog trained to do for you?” Manager said again, “ I need To see papers.” OK It was absolutely obvious that this dog was a service dog, but the manager continued to hassle the Veteran, who at this point was visibly upset and embarrassed. The Veteran even showed him his injury and hardware over his heart. The manager again, after being told that you can’t ask for paperwork, asked for paperwork again, and refused To serve the gentleman with his service dog. Within a few seconds the Veteran collapsed and was shocked multiple times by his implanted defibrillator. This Was extremely traumatizing to witness, and the restaurant was full. Even with the Veteran on the floor and being shocked multiple times, a lady that worked felt it was necessary to reiterate again, while the Veteran was holding his Chest on the floor and rolling around in pain, and she said, “ we were told we need the paperwork.” I’m appalled at the way a local hero was treated. SLIM CHICKENS must serve all customers regardless of race, sex, or disability. The WAY YOU TREATED a hometown hero was absolutely despicable, and I will...
Read moreI’ve never had service so bad. I literally cried. When I went to order my meal, the person taking my order was very short. When I got to the window, and they took my payment and handed the card back, I tried to say thank you and she just walked off. She came back, handed out my food then slammed the window, no conversing at all. But the worst was the food. I ordered a chicken sandwich and the bread was hard as a rock. I couldn’t bite it without it hurting my teeth. They put tartar sauce on it and drenched it to the point it was dripping off the sandwich as I attempted to eat it. And the chicken itself was soggy. I wish there was a way to show in the picture how truly horrible it was/how hard the bread is. For everything I got, it ended up being $15. Everything tasted old and gross. I’m so sad I couldn’t eat it because for me, that’s a lot of money for a...
Read moreIf i could zero this place out i would. Portion sizes are a scam, & this is the second time i’ve had a rude interaction in this business. Your MANAGER should not be blatantly ignoring me simply because i had a question for the register & was not ready to place my order. Might i add my second interaction with Ms Zoey, I Ordered a Meal, which includes toast & fries. I received neither & even with my receipt that clearly stated i ordered a meal, there was ‘nothing she could do’ before she walked away & never addressed me again. Your general manager needs to learn how to generally manage, Being too busy talking about her job instead of helping where she was needed & assisting customers isn’t going to bring her up the chain. Do better Zoey. Fortunately for myself i will not be making a visit here till they make a big change to customer service...
