Great water park! The downsides being NO cover from the sun, I'd like to see umbrellas or some trees in this area.. its all cement and brick. The other thing is the restrooms are nowhere near close by, this is a big issue for younger kids who can't hold it or with multiples.
Other than that we enjoy this spray park and usually join this with a trip over to the Tacoma portion of the waterfront for some more shade and open spaces.
If you come on a weekend during summer there is usually lots of events like farmers market.
If you come with kids I highly recommend sun hats/umbrellas (on a stroller or wagon - the ground is solid cement), some water cups/syringes (this park is based on salmon migration and has lots of timed fun geysers and waterfalls but not many interactive portions like other parks), and a blanket as seating is limited but with lots of...
Read moreThis park is extremely dangerous for all children. There is an area with large Boulders with water going over the boulders and there are small to large size rocks that are loose within the pile of boulders. Not only did my older child slip and fall but a child who was running around completely unsupervised with no parent in sight picked up a rock that was about 6 in across and hurled it at my child's head. Luckily it missed her but I was horrified and I waited for a good 15 minutes for that child's parent to show up and I even went around asking parents if that child belong to them and I could not find the child's parent. This park is a lawsuit waiting to happen and something needs to be done. Will not be returning and will be figuring out who to contact so that this does not happen to someone...

This spraypark is the kind with underground filtration using Blue Light to kill off bacteria of concern. The kids love this place. There are a few benches for watchful parents and stadium-like steps to sit on also. There is a few restaraunts close by that taunts with delicious aromas, jazz playing on exterior speakers throughout the Ruston Point area bring great moods. My only caveat: once your kids see the huge rocks with geysers spurting skyward, they'll go straight to rock climbing mode. It's your...
