Stretch's Cafe — Restaurant in Rutherford College

Me and 2 friends went there last night. As soon as we were seating the waitress was seriously putting off a negative vibe. I ordered a CB with fries but knew better than to ask for extra crispy fries based on what was written in the menu. One friend got the special which was baked spaghetti and the other one ordered a CB with fries and 2 to go orders for her family. While waiting for the food, my friends had drank a little under half of their beverage when the waitress came over and refilled their glasses. One girl jokingly asked her if that counted as a full refill, (apparently there is a 2 refill limit) to which the waitress replied yes, technically. She was so serious...The girl said it wasn't even half.. The waitress looked back at her with a not so friendly look. The food came out shortly and my cb was very good as well as the fries. The lady who got the spaghetti stated that her meal was bland and tasteless. The other CB was said to be good as well. I personally left full, but would have liked to take the remainder of my drink with me (I refilled only once), but had seen a sign that said no take out cups if you are dining in. 🤔 I guess they had rather throw it away than to let me take it home..... All in all, too many petty rules for a public restaurant to expect their customers to adhere to. You guys are in a people pleasing business. Dont be so can't do this, can't do that....And I would suggest to the waitress, smile a little, or at least pretend to like your job. Not sure if we will go back. The atmosphere just leaves a bad taste...

I've had to ponder over this post for a couple days. My son & I went last week on a day that just so happened a hurricane came through. Granted, it was not a great time to pay my first visit, but I was in a little shock over how we were treated. Upon entering the door, we were told (pretty rudely & forcefully) that there were no tables available, that it would be x amount of minutes, I then inquired about take out, again was not met with any kind of caring attitude. Again, realizing that this was a hectic day for EVERYONE, I never felt so unwelcome & disregarded as this. I'd been wanting to try this establishment out since I've not lived in the area long, however I'm very undecided now. Do not get the pre made chicken sandwich. It looked as tho the sandwich you would receive at chick fil a same kind of wrap and such however, not the case at all very nasty couldn't even take the second bite. Otherwise chicken legs were goid and juicy the potato wedges were good but not the quality of that you get at the local b&b on hwy 70 a good imitation though. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable professional and courteous but I would definitely recommend choosing somewhere else to eat. If your in a hurry and hungry it is a good place to take the stomach pain away and then would recommend only because there are no other restaurants very close. Also price is crazy for quality of food. Others may differ but this is my honest and profound opinion of...
