I am not a review writer, nor do i want to be writing this review. However, I must acknowledge that this is the 4th time I have visited the Rutland location and been completely disappointed with yet the same issue. I love Chipotle and usually frequent the Shelburne Rd location which runs seamlessly and have always left feeling satisfied. I was so excited to get a Chipotle closer to town. Sadly on every occasion, they have been out of at least 3 things. I always seem to hit them on a Sunday around prime dinner rush (6:30pm). I went one week ago and they were out of Chicken, Steak, fajita veggies, Guac, rice, black beans, lettuce, queso cheese, soft and hard tortillas and sour cream. I am not kidding. Not sure what else you could leave getting, and then pay full price for. So we left. I went again this past Sunday again to give them another shot and as I approached the counter i was met with "unfortunately I regret to inform you......" They were out of fajita veggies, steak, sour cream, guac and lettuce. I was desperate for food and had driven back from NH so i got would i could in a burrito bowl. They still charged 11.00 dollars. When i inquired about why this happened twice to me in the last week, and frankly the last several times I've gone, they said it was related to the delivery from their weekly food delivery truck. I think it's safe to say that if this is an ongoing issue, that corporate should be ordering more food to fit the need of the community, so it can run as a consistent chain. I wont be going back unless they can address this issue. Good luck to you in the future if stopping by the Rutland...

I rarely write restaurant reviews, but my recent experience at the Chipotle in Rutland compelled me to share my disappointment. I would give this Chipotle a 0 out of 5 stars.
Upon entering, I noticed that the bathrooms had digital locks on them that required a code. While I understand the need for security, it was an inconvenience for customers who needed to access the restrooms.
As my wife and I proceeded to order, we were shocked to find that guacamole, lettuce, and pico de gallo were missing from the serving line. The staff explained that the morning workers hadn't prepped enough, which was disappointing to say the least.
The salsa that was available was over-the-top spicy, causing both my wife and me to experience bad digestion shortly after consuming it. This was only the beginning of our troubles.
The following morning, I woke up at 2 am with mild food poisoning, which only exacerbated my dissatisfaction with the dining experience.
When we ordered our burritos, which cost $12 each, I asked if chips were included. To my surprise, they weren't. So, my wife and I ended up spending $26 on two burritos that lacked lettuce, pico, guacamole, or decent salsa. To top it all off, the meat was left out and somewhat cold.
In summary, our visit to the Rutland Chipotle was a massive disappointment. With subpar food quality, missing ingredients, and poor value for money, I cannot recommend this...
Read moreMy wife and I have been coming to this chipotle for two years now. More often than not, we are extremely let down. You never know when they're going to be open or closed. Living 40 minutes away, it's the worst driving all the way here to find the doors locked during posted business hours. Also, they are ALWAYS out of ingredients. Be prepared for them to be out of queso, rice, certain meats, etc.
The portions are an absolute joke. Today, I ordered double steak, and the employee filled one small plastic cup with steak and said it was double. I literally laughed and said nope you need to put another scoop at least. I then ordered guac and she put the smallest little dab of guac it barely covered the tip of the spoon she was using. I gave up and accepted it. The bill came out to $40 for a bowl and 3 tacos.
Also, today the place was disgusting, the trash was overflowing, and all the employees were standing around not very busy. There were no utensils out either and when I asked for a fork I was handed one by the man at the register with his bare hand. I let him know they were out of utensils out front and nothing was done about it the entire time we sat and ate our food.
Chipotle, please do something about this location. It is a sad representation of what used to be a...
