If you’re anywhere near Rutland, Vermont, do yourself a favor and stop by this incredible mom-and-pop Indian restaurant. Chef Rina is a true master in the kitchen—every dish is a perfect balance of flavor, authenticity, and love. The food is consistently outstanding, from the rich, aromatic curries to the perfectly spiced biryanis and warm, pillowy naan.
What sets this place apart is not just the quality of the food, but the heart behind it. You can taste the tradition and care in every bite. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the value is just as impressive as the food itself—generous portions, reasonable prices, and zero compromise on quality.

Read moreHad to call 6 times before an answer then was informed they were out of staples of Indian food such as naan and popular samosas. I ordered 2 orders of veggie samosas and 2 entree’s the total came to $32. I placed a to go order for 5:15. When my wife went to pick up she was informed it would be 10 minutes more it turned into 20 minutes. While she was there a local business owner that we know went to place an order and was turned away because they decided to close early. When she arrived home and opened up the food they counted an order of samosas 1 samosa so we only got two samosas. We proceeded to try out food it was flavorless and sub par. I can honestly make better Indian food myself. A very big disappointment .. service quality quantity and availability all lack. I’d rather drive 20+ miles to Middlebury to Taste of India. Than ever spend my money or time on...
Read moreThe place is pretty clean and we have ordered lamb curry, lamb dopiaza and briyani and few naan bread. The currys were really good and hot. The lamb pieces are very well cooked. Naan bread is also very soft anf delicious.
But the Briyani seems to be completely out of the way. The lamb and chicken briyani looks like peas briyani. Infinite peas are added in the briyani. Not sure if thats a mistake happened on that particular day .But really a horrible experience. Briyani is the only reason for me to give 3 stars. Otherwise its 5/5.
If it just happened by mistake then its fine, but if thats the regular preparation then defenitely a update in your receipe required. Because Indian style briyanis are entirely different. Please take care and make necessary receipe...
