We come here often and service keeps on getting horrible but we keep on coming back because of the great food. But our experience last night 03/14 was the worst experience/treatment we've ever had. We brought some of our friends to let them try the food that we're so proud of. Everything was doing well and we were actually shocked because we were used to being treated so badly everytime we come here. (I don't know if it's because of the fact that we're not Americans so we always feel the racism everytime we come here. The service in other tables besides us seems to be great but as what we've observed, service in our table always changes the mood). I also think we are very polite, understanding and never complain nor demanded any complicated items to the server/s and even with the constant bad service experience, we've always tipped 20+%. During the last course of our meal, we were in a hurry to finish our food and dessert as we are aware of the closing time and we don't want the employees to stay long for our table but the busser just started aggressively cleaning and making us feel uncomfortable as we already are trying to finish everything in a hurry. It came to the point where the busser took out the plate while my friend was still finishing the last bite. This is our first ever review that we made because it really ruined the rest of our night and we took it very personally. We thought we'd be more welcomed here but turns out we feel more racism than regular American restaurants. Wish you all well. Never coming back and never recommending to anyone especially to the other asian...

Our first time in Rutland driving through and we stopped for lunch. We don’t eat sushi 🍱 but usually you can get other dishes so we gave figured let’s try. The servers are very nice and we were seated right away. The menu is heavy with majority sushi dishes but we found the kitchen entree page on menu and ordered the steak and salmon teriyaki, with white rice and miso soup. 🥣 and veggie dumplings for an appetizer. We liked the dumplings, they are fried and well stuffed with veggies. Our main dishes were served on hot skillets and my first bite of a grilled onion burned my top lip, the food is very hot. My salmon was good, had the skin (I don’t like) that peeled easily but the white rice was bland and not sticky, tasted dry. The steak teriyaki was terrible, sorry it was very rare and tough, he tried and ate the veggies, some of the rice and we thought it might cook a little more in the hot skillet but it didn’t. We haven’t paid for a bad meal in a long time but it’s always disappointing when you do. We don’t know but maybe this is the best sushi restaurant, and maybe he should have ordered the chicken teriyaki. We can’t recommend and now we know, make sure we check reviews or just leave when we don’t see what we want on a menu. Spent...

When I first moved here we enjoyed our food but the last 3 times we ate here the food has not been good.

The chefs do an amazing job in presenting the food and it is unfortunate that they are working with ingredients that are of very poor quality.

I eat sashimi and I can definitely taste when the fish is of poor quality/texture. It tastes like a muddy boot and the texture is very spongy (frozen multiple times) We also ordered the beef hotpot this time around and the beef tasted like old cow to the point we had a bite each and had it returned. The staff were very nice and it wasn't thier fault...the owner should get a better supplier and/or not skimp on quality of the food they order for thier restaurant. Most people wouldn't notice because it's covered in tempura or in rolls with sauces but I notice because ...again I eat plain sashimi. We will now make sure to drive the extra 1/2 hour to sushi yoshi in Killington where thier quality of food is outstanding...

First, I want to start off by saying the service was great. Our waiter was awesome and did a great job! Unfortunately, and I really hate to say this, but the food was just awful. I was super excited to check this place out as it had many 5 star reviews, which leads me to believe maybe the kitchen just had a bad day, which happens. I started with a Kani salad that tasted strongly of just mayonnaise, over a green salad that was drenched in water. My wife's house salad was also drenched in water. The Pink lady roll that I got, a deep-fried roll, was pouring oil out of the middle of the roll. They offered to replace it but I was already turned off. The Philadelphia roll I ordered was sub-par. The salmon was hard and rubbery. I'll come back again and hopefully I too can leave a 5 star reviews!

Amazing service and food! Went here 2 times this season, and were impressed both times. The food was really good, my family's favorite is the Chicken Katsu because it's juicy and flavorful. Upon sitting, you will get a small bowl of miso soup—perfect after skiing. We ordered Green Tea Ice Cream, it was delicious because it tasted great and the texture was rich like Gelato. Also, the servers were exceptional. We asked if we can have our Angel Sushi (very tasty by the way) with spicy mayo, and they gave us a ton. Waiters were friendly and helpful. I gave Tokyo House 4 stars because everything was great but I thought the Chicken Teriyaki bento weren't as good as the chicken katsu, and their Yakisoba was dry. Nonetheless, I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Vermont.
