Horrible customer service! I made a drive through order for a Superstar combo no onion during my lunch break. Price was $10.10, when I was making the order I kept getting cut off during, the order taker never took my drink order, and when I finally did come to the window she just took my cash and never gave me a receipt. When I got back to my office I saw that they had put a western bacon in the bag. That comes with onion by default! The drive through time basically used up almost my whole lunch break and so I couldn't immediately go back to have it fixed. I was so hungry I ate the stupid burger (minus the onion). After work I decided to go back to speak with someone about at least getting a refund for the price difference. When I got there the lady that initially took my order in the drive through was the same as the one that greeted me at the counter. She even recognized me and told me there had been an order mixup for someone else, too. When she asked about a receipt I told her she never gave one. She decided she couldn't help me so she asked someone else. 'Someone Else' came to the counter, didn't look at me for a moment, finally acknowledged me by saying the other lady was helping me, acted like she wanted to keep ignoring me for a moment and then asked what's the situation? She said it in a way that made me feel like a theif, somehow. I explained to her what happened and she was so completely disinterested in resolving things. I did eat the burger and had told the first lady that at the very least I wanted a refund of the price difference for the items. 'Someone Else' looked at me like I was wasting her time and told me, 'well the price difference is only a few cents." I got fed up and told her to nevermind. It was clear to me by her attitude that she had no interest in trying to resolve the matter. My lunch was ruined and I paid more than I should for something I didn't even want. The worst part is the employees attitude toward a paying customer. As a service worker myself, it's so frustrating when you come across these establishments that have absolutely no consideration for the customers that keep them...
Read moreI wasn't entirely sure if I should give this a 4 or 5 star review, but based on my overall experience at this particular Carl's Juniors along with my experience on the last time I visited, I went with a 4.
The part of town is mediocre to slightly above average. I say this because I stayed at an area hotel for quite sometime and wouldn't feel safe walking alone with a purse or a backpack from my hotel a few doors down to here. Now with my potty Diablo, your darn toot'n I feel safe. I feel safe anytime he is with me. I could be just short of carrying a clear plastic purse with hundred dollar bills overflowing and feel invincible (just short of). This doesn't really matter on the time of day either.
The food is of good quality, but certain things I do feel they are cheap on, like their sausage patties...that kind of ruined the whole breakfast sourdough grilled cheese but put bacon on it instead and back up to 5 stars. Their sodas always seem to have way too much carbonated water to syrup ratio and to tell you the truth, they are seriously losing money on me alone doing that. I have heard similar complaints about their sodas as well.
So, a quick recap, their food is 4.5-5.0 *’s, their sodas are 1 *, the desserts 3 * due to lack of choice and also quality/taste, speed 5 *, friendliness and professionalism 4 * - 5 * because they aren't unprofessional or rude just not too friendly, I guess you would have to say, friendly enough. Read more8/13 Used App to order Double Teriyaki Burger Combo and a Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich. Finalized sale in app $26 and some change. Get to the window only to be told they no longer make the Teriyaki anything. Apparently nobody updated the app!?!?. That's all I went there for, so I tell them just refund it. "We can't refund it cause it's through the app, that's a different company, you have to contact the app people". WHAT? They kept my $26 bucks and I got NOTHING. Well, don't try to get a live person on the phone from Carl's Jr. cause that just isn't gonna happen. I left NUMEROUS complaints and messages within the next 24hrs, and not one response! I finally contacted the store manager 4 days later after leaving voice messages, and he tells me to dispute the charge with my bank. 2 more days later a response from Carl's Jr talking about issuing a refund. Unbelievable!!!! I spent the better part of 4 damned days chasing my money down because THEY can't seem to update their own App in a timely manner! After all this, my bank is the one that came through by reversing the charges. Did I get an apology from Carl's? NOPE, not so much as an apology, a coupon, nada.
