So last night 12/30/2023 I had the absolute pleasure of stumbling across Casa East Sac. I can say, I was extremely impressed with this small restaurant. I will tell you I am giving it A+++ rating.. This little place is filled with Great service, Smiles and above all Wonderfull food. The bathrooms were spotless by the way. Casa East Sac is definitely a hidden gem and I would go as far as to say in the top 3 restraints in Sacramento greater area. Reservations are recommended for sure. But Wait…. Let me tell you a little secret! I arrived during the dinner rush on a Saturday night with no reservation, obviously there were no tables available but I was offered seating at the bar. I was immediately greeted by Gaby who explained the specials and offered suggestions on apps and drinks. I realized I was blessed to be sitting on the left side of the bar as I had a Birds Eye view into the kitchen and the pizza, salad, and desert stations. I was able to see all the food coming out of the kitchen while at the same time see desserts and salads made. What amazed me the most was the cleanliness of the area. Staff washing there hands before and after touching plates and food, I must have watched the staff wash there hands 50 times during my hour and half visit. As a Travel Nurse I was so impressed at the dedication to high hygiene standards. I felt safe eating the food and sitting at the bar. I have 2 favorite restaurants I visit out of probably 75 places I have tried in Sacramento and I will say this is now a rival for one of the top spots. As a foodie it is rare to find a place that actually checks all the boxes from, friendliness, good food, cleanliness etc. I am here to say.. 100% Go to Casa...

I recently had the pleasure of trying the Pops Pizza at Casa East Sac in East Sacramento and it was absolutely fantastic! This pizza is definitely something special - the crust was crispy and chewy in all the right places, and the toppings were generous and flavorful. I loved the combination of the tangy tomato sauce, the gooey melted cheese, and the savory potato.

What really impressed me about the Pops Pizza was the attention to detail that went into its preparation. You can tell that the chefs at Casa East Sac take pride in their work and truly care about the quality of the food they serve. Every ingredient was fresh and expertly prepared, resulting in a pizza that was truly exceptional.Loved the pesto sauce!

In addition to the delicious Pops Pizza, I have to say that the overall experience at Casa East Sac was wonderful. The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the prices were very reasonable for the high quality of the food.

Overall, I highly recommend Casa East Sac and their Pops Pizza. Whether you're in the mood for pizza or something else on the menu, you won't be disappointed. This is a true gem in the East Sacramento dining scene, and I can't wait to come back and try more of their...

So usually this restaurant has been awesome, but today was a bummer. We got a new server, and it seemed like she was having an off day. No ice in the water, and she didn’t ask if we wanted any drinks. Honestly those are excusable because they’re such small things. Really what made me write this review is when we received our food – the pancake was super burnt on the bottom so we didn’t eat it and we told our server. She still charged us full price for it. Plus, she didn't give us a receipt beforehand, just took the pancake away and asked for our card immediately. I’m genuinely not even upset about the pancake being burnt because that’s the first time that’s happened, I’m just more upset at the way it was handled. I hope they sort this out because I really like this place, but today's experience was just not up to par.

Other than that I HIGHLY recommend the avocado toast they have at brunch as well as all of the other lovely servers have always been super nice and helpful!

Update: The lack of response to this is a little upsetting, I expected better...

Fantastic service, attentive and friendly wait staff. The ingredients were fresh and tasted delicious however the dishes I ordered were not what I was expecting. The Brie and beet bruschetta would have been amazing with a balsamic glaze on top to tie it all together. But the bread was to die for. The house made pasta special carbonara was good but lcakes that extra bit of flavor you want when you take that first bite. Not pictured but delicious was the potato soup with truffle oil (side of fresh toasted bread) and the pot du crème chocolat with pistachios and a healthy dosing of I believe homemade whipped cream, was to die for. The soup was the perfect amount as a starter and the overall flavor profile of the dessert was perfectly balanced. Not to sweet or thick texture.
