Came here since I saw theyāre Arab-owned. (i like that style of coffee + my family is Arab.)
We got two iced Finjan lattes which are sweetened with condensed milk, and described by the staff as not too sweet. It was the perfect balance of sweet with a nutty coffee taste. The menu is a decent size, and they have both sweet and savory bites.
We got the Zaatar bread and cheese bread. Both were fantastic. The Zaatar bread was fluffy and the herbs were mixed with enough olive oil to prevent dryness. The cheese bread is Armenian string cheese with black sesame seeds with fluffy bread, and was absolutely delicious. Both were warmed and very hot when ready.
This place has a nice atmosphere, not too loud with light music in the background and plenty of both couches and tables to sit at. Thereās TVs playing different channels on low volume and the shop is nicely decorated, good for studying or chatting. There is also an outdoor area both under the awning and a patio (unshaded) in the lot. Overall a legit spot in Sacramento worth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really was hoping for a great experience but sadly it wasn't. Started by walking in and not being greeted or even aknowledged by the staff. We finally got to order once the barista stood in front of the cash register. We ordered three drinks and sweets just to find out 20 minutes later that the cashier only rang up two of them. The waitress was less than polite when she pointed at the receipt showing only two beverages, then immediately walked away. My coffee wasn't authentic by any means, as it was missing cardamom and came with only ONE finjan! The tables were filthey with cigarettes ash all over them. I have decades of experience in hospitalaty and our family owns numerous businesses and restaurants in the Bay Area. To the owner: I hope you're prosperous and successful in this business and take customer reviews to heart by addressing the poor customer service, lack of cleanliness and overall product quality...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo why the one star? 1st and foremost, it took about 12 minutes to stand in line and place your order! Although you sit down to consume what you ordered. The service pretty much doesnāt exist. You pay, pickup your order and go back to sit. The Shisha is around $38 dollars! Which is absolutely ridiculous for something that cost maybe $2 bucks! Perhaps the worst thing about this place, the owner passes the credit card fee to the customer without informing you. So the price on the menu is one thing and when you r about to pay itās a different price! 3% is added to your bill if you are paying with credit card. A oud player that sings that is a total pollution to your ears! Bathrooms needed some serious attention and cleaning. An Ok experience not to be...
