Enchambered: Sacramento Escape Room — Attraction in Sacramento

My 12 y/o son wanted to try this as a family and had done one before at another business.my husband and I had never done it. Having never done it, I researched and found a few and looked into them all. I enchambered had the most interesting room stories , and comparing costs, was comparable to all the others I found. When we drove up i was skeptical of what this would be like, but upon entering found it to be instantly immersive, before we were even in the room! An employee (i think their name was V?) greeted us and helped introduce us to the process. They admitted to us that we had chosen a harder puzzle (oops!) but gave tips to my family what to watch out for when my son started getting spooked. That was incredibly helpful. We chose the skull witch room, and it did not disappoint. The immersion was disney-level. Great story, sound, decor...and the puzzles overall were difficult. In the end we didn't solve it in time (I'll admit as a first timer I was overwhelmed and it took a bit to get oriented enough to contribute) BUT we had a great time. When time was up, V asked us if we had any questions and walked us through one of the puzzles we were sure we almost had...and we did almost have it! Dang. They the walked us out to the exit lobby and took our photo with our phone and a room specific background. In looking at escape rooms they seemed expensive, but i can honestly say that this one is worth every penny - even if you lose the game! And my son compared it to the other one he had been to and admitted that the production at this one was way better! We will...

UPDATE 5/24/25:

We returned today with our group of 7 again for a belated Mother’s Day adventure and this time we took on The Skull Witch knowing that this was one of the harder rooms. Baz was our guide today and he was really fun and engaging and we thought his hints were just the right level of helpful but still cryptic.

This room was our favorite yet (Although we are big fans of the original Whispering Halls and cannot wait to do the other one). It is two stories and had some pretty cool reveals throughout. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible. We were so proud that we successfully escaped especially after we heard that the success rate is low on this one.

Highly recommend Skull Witch and definitely worth requesting Baz if you have the chance!! Thanks Enchambered!! We had a great time!!

Original review- November 2024: We came with a group of 7 to celebrate our daughter’s 23rd birthday! We are still fairly new to escape rooms but this was our 2nd one together and our first at Enchambered. We were impressed by the general decor of lobby and the room itself was impressive. There were sophisticated effects and sound and the puzzles were challenging without being impossible. We did Whispering Halls and we were so excited to escape successfully with just over a minute to spare! It was our first escape and we cannot wait to try the next one. We are worried that we have now been spoiled with such a high quality escape room that we will always compare rooms to this standard . We highly recommend...

My family and kids (4 adults / 3 kids ages 15, 14, and 10) just spent an intense and terrifying hour battling the Skull Witch. I’m relatively new to escape rooms, but as a former Disney employee I have a keen eye for atmospheric elements, quality decor, and intelligent guest design. It’s a nuanced art, but one that makes a huge difference in terms of guest experience and enjoyment — and this place absolutely nails it.

From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the attention to detail. The entire space was immaculate — seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an entertainment venue this clean. Every inch of the room was thoughtfully and flawlessly themed, with incredible set design, clever puzzles, and a cinematic flow that kept everyone fully immersed.

But what truly set this experience apart was the staff. The owners were on site, and you could immediately tell how passionate and invested they are in what they’ve built. Their energy was contagious — they were warm, welcoming, and genuinely excited to help make our visit unforgettable. The game masters were equally engaged, helping to hype the story and seamlessly guiding us when needed without breaking the immersion.

This isn’t just an escape room — it’s an experience. By far the best themed attraction we’ve visited in the Sacramento region, and honestly, one of the most impressive entertainment experiences I’ve had anywhere. We can’t wait to come back and try...
