I've been going to Joes since I was a small child ,jukebox at every table. Lil Joe wearing his chefs hat ,those were the days .My last two experiences there have not been the greatest the last visit being my final . Absolutely NO excuse for a cold steak which mine was and was then reheated and now tough and now I've kinda lost my appetite having a plate in my face removed only to wait again. and then say in reviews you offer to "reheat it "? Maybe from a biz that just opened up and have cooked less than 100 steaks and still learning ,but thousands upon thousands of steaks have been cooked there. Get it right .Also to the "owner" what's with the safe distance that I see in your responses with people who are dissatisfied with your service? Is that some sort of threat ? I will say everything I'm saying here and more in your establishment in your face. No one is trying to shut down your daddy's iconic landmark diner BUT we are entitled to post our experiences here in hopes that you step your game up and make lil joes a better experience for your customers is all .No one is out to get you bud ,personally it would hurt to see joes close .Of course you can't please everyone but learn to take negative responses as constructive criticism and not a personal attack .No one is hiding from you here trust me ....I've seen you . #longliveliljoes. #stepyourgameup . Have a better year in...
Read moreOwner is honestly pretty rude. I work nearby and had planned to try this place at one point, but not anymore!
I had a work event happening at the space next door and there is minimal parking in this area. The only spot I could see at the time was in front of the diner. As soon as I parked there the owner came out and asked if I was going to the event next door. I said yes, I was. Then he commented that I was the third person to park in this general area of parking spots, and I just responded “ok?” Then he proceeded to tell me that there is parking across the street that I could have parked in and it was “mean” and “rude” of me to park in a public parking space. I told him I didn’t see it and was running late for a work event. I’m just looking for the closest available spot. And he just comments that it’s “mean” of me.
I get that parking may be limited in this area, but folks going here can also park across the street if it’s as accessible as he was mentioning to me. Coming out to harass someone parking in a public space seems a little rude to me.
So for sure won’t be patronizing this place. Giving three stars because I haven’t tried the food etc so can’t...
