Market on 28th is a tiny, tiny spot but it has a really great vibe. The space is super small, maybe room for four people inside, but it feels cozy and welcoming. The staff were friendly and I even saw them hand a kid a sticker, which was a sweet little gesture that stuck with me.
I had the chicken katsu and a roll, and both were pretty solid. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Definitely worth stopping by if youāre in the area and craving a quick bite.
Only downside for me was the tip screen. The lowest suggested tip starts at 20% and goes up to 30%, which feels like a big ask for a mostly takeout-style spot with very limited seating. Itās easy to hit a button without noticing, so just something to be aware of.
Overall, itās a cool little local find with good food and good energy....

All three things were out of this world good!!! Truly a ray of sunshine in my day. Iāll be back for sure anytime Iām in the area. I was transported to my childhood when I would go across the street to my grandmaās house and she would spoil me with good Japanese food. Unfortunately I didnāt catch any photos because I hadnāt eaten in a while and I just dove right in. Not sad about it, but Iāll get some photos next time for sure. Worth every penny spent! Definitely more of a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered an egg sando on gluten free bread. We were asked to write down our own orders on an order pad, so I know that it was written down correctly. I received the sandwich on regular bread, and needed to go back to the cafe to get the sandwich with the correct bread. The employee apologized and refunded the sandwich, but this is still a big problem for anyone with dietary restrictions around gluten, and I donāt trust that my orders from here in the future will be gluten free. The cooler was also broken and the beverages were all room temp. I really like the concept of this place, but they seem to have a lot of kinks...
