Ambiance is a 5 star! Vibe is a 5 star! Seating is a 5 star!
Parking
I had came here on a tuesday morning, and parking wasn't too hard to find. I had parked a block away which was in front of someones house. The parking here can be a challenge, but its worth it if your planning to come here to study or just hangout.
Outside
Its hidden behind the wine place. The exterior is really nice! loved all the small details such as the plants and wooden exterior. Loved how the address number is crooked which gave it a different character to the building.
There are plant of seating in the patio. Lots of community long tables! Perfect for studying or just write reviews! Nice and quiet but with some noise in the background too. Comfortable tables and seats.
The only con i found for the outdoor seating is maybe the lack of electric outlets. Like my computer was dying and i had no where to plug it in to recharge.
Inside
Inside is neat as well. There are some comfy couches for you to lounge around. Also plenty of small tables to study in the indoors. I would take advantage of the indoor environment when the weather gets a bit yuckier but for now outdoor is the perfect vibe and environment to hangout at.
Coffee
ice drip - i got the ice drip since that is what my brother recommend me to get. For a large size its $2.70. When you decide to get a refill its $1.95. I like it but i don't love it, because its a bit water down but it was different. Less strong but it does the job. Since it is water down i can drink this black but if it was more strong then i would have to mix it with milk.
Service
The baristas who served me today are friendly and sure are chatty to see hows your day is going. Great on giving me info on what brew i am ordering, so thats a plus. Friendly service and helpful.
i will be back to try the other drinks and maybe a nice...
Read moreI don't know how I overlooked on writing a review for Temple Coffee on S Street. I love coming here on the weekend after the gym early in the morning and treat myself to a nice cup of special coffee/tea and a pastry/muffin. I usually drink black coffee during the week, so this is a treat! This location is always busy because of the open space and comfortable seats/couch. You will see a lot of people with their laptops and headphones. It's next to Revolution Wine, Pushkin's, and Sac Food Coop. There is a small outdoors parking lot next door, limited street parking and my last option is to park at the garage structure if I can't find parking. It's free to park inside the garage on the weekend. I'm not sure about weekday.
I always like to try their seasonal drinks. For today's visit, I had the WINTER BLISS. Its peppermint tea steeped in chocolate coconut milk & soy milk, topped with dark cocoa sugar/sprinkles. Yeah, I'm trying to hold on to winter a little longer before we have to observe day light savings next Sunday. All I can say is the drink reminds me of christmaswintersnow. It was perfectly sweeten with a distinct taste of the peppermint tea. Next week, I'll be back to my Matcha Latte or Green Jasmine Teas ;-)
Don't leave without getting a piece of pastry. I like their almond croissants and muffins. I want to say it's sourced from a local bakery but I'm not sure. I have to remember to ask the next time.
The baristas are always friendly and happy! Temple Coffee is distributed nationwide, with eight coffee houses in Sacramento area. Skip Starbucks for a change and...
Read moreI want to preface this review to say I have never had a bad experience at any Temple location, even this one. Unfortunately, tonight was a weird experience. I have no reason not to be polite to a person or people especially if I've never met them in my life and I don't know anything about them and it's just respectful and nice to be friendly, polite, and kind as a rule of thumb. We literally learned this in Kindergarten. Apparently, that couldn't be said for the baristas working tonight. I think they are sadly stuck in a Mean Girls mentality. I have no clue their damage(s) but I feel sorry for them and I hope they heal from whatever ails them. It's a bad look to be filled with so much unwarranted vitriol. I went up to the counter and said hello. One of the baristas just stared at me. I then proceeded to order our drinks. She had assumed it was to go so I said oh for here please. This was a grave insult to her because she didn’t seem pleased and she threw down the paper cup on the pile of other paper cups. It was all so strange and unnecessary. I still left a 15% tip (I usually leave 20-22%) but I regret even leaving a tip since the whole interaction was just uncool. Then she and another barista proceeded to snicker like I literally couldn’t see what they were doing. I love Temple and it is a rare treat when I go. So, this was all around unfortunate...
