Matcha Cafe Maiko — Restaurant in Sacramento

As a matcha lover, absolutely agree this store has the best high quality matcha in the south Sac area. Nice clean store with great service. Long line but also quick service. They allow you to sample the soft ice cream. Their matcha or hojicha soft serve ice cream is perfect. It's sweet but very light and sure you will not hate that sweetness because of real high quality matcha you will get the bitter aftertaste which makes good combination for their ice cream:

Few disappointment for this time coming back here. I can tell the portion is smaller and price's increased . Furthermore same as before that they do not offer indoor sitting, no tables, just benches - sitting to wait for your order. Also not outdoor seating. The surrounding of this place always crowded and parking lot is always full.

Hope The Maiko will franchise in folsom soon.

Must try hojicha float with green tea ice cream the maiko special ( No. 3 on menu) the hojicha frappe Strawberry sundae with green tea the golden sho-gun (24k gold leaf is funny experience) Matcha coffee latte...

Brought my mom and niece here for a treat. We love matcha green tea...but never tried the ice cream.

The place is real small...no room to eat...but boy is it worth it if your a matcha lover.

The staff was so kind and helpful. Great wonderful people.

My mom ordered the matcha tea with vanilla swirl cone...the cone is hand made fresh...the ice cream is very creamy and refreshing...this was 5.50 cents. The cone was pretty big.

The green tea is strong...so the vanilla ice cream tones it down a bit.

My niece and I ordered the same thing...we tried the boba Sunday with strawberry drizzle...it was so good. We love boba and they don't skimp. It was 5.75

The strawberry drizzle was a good compliment to the green tea and boba. We both ordered the vanilla green tea swirl.

Great Japanese vibe here! The ladies are extremely helpful and they sample out the ice cream. The matcha is from Kyoto and you can taste the quality in the ice cream. The green tea ice cream is alittle bitter but that's to be expected from matcha ice cream. It's the powder mixed with ice cream.

Vanilla mixed with matcha is a great balance. The strawberry ice cream is made with real strawberries. That is rare. It's not extremely sweet like you would find at a lot of regular ice cream places.

They have drinks as well as ice cream. The matcha green tea powder is sold separately for those looking for premium matcha. I highly recommend this place! Great place to get some ice cream especially during the heat! Fantastic...
