Arrived around 7:30 PM Sunday evening. Checked in for a table of 2,I was told it would be about 30 minutes to wait. After about 30 minuets we were taken to a table and the server asked what we wanted to drink, and that it might take a while to get the food because the kitchen was backed up. When she came back with the drinks we ordered right away. We ordered Chef's Creek, Blue Point, Shigoku Oysters, and Crab Cakes. After a few minutes the waitress came back and said that they are out of Shigoku Oysters, said there was one left although some one just got it. We just canceled the Shigoku Oysters. A few more minutes she came back and said sorry to say that they are out of Crab Cakes. I ordered a Chicken Sandwich. We came to Station 16 especially for Oysters and Crab Cakes. As we wait,I watched the Employee's working at the Oyster Bar. The Employees were throwing and tossing around trash as they seemed upset. The Oysters arrived and some of them were very small I would have been ashamed to serve them. Probably 20 minutes after the Oysters came the Chicken Sandwich arrived. We saw an order coming from the Oyster Bar and asked what it was. She told us it was Ceviche shrimp cocktail and she apologized for not having the Oysters and Crab Cakes, and gave us a sample of the Ceviche shrimp cocktail. The Waitress served refills for water and ice tea, brought plenty of napkins and extra plate. She was very helpful. Not sure why they were sold out of Oysters and Crab Cakes, must have something to do with whoever's in charge of ordering. The restaurant was clean as well as the bathroom. The Clientele dining looked distressed ball caps, hoodies, there should be a dress code I am sure some people walk in and walk out after seeing the crowd of people dinning there and some one should ask the employees to not throw stuff around like slamming things in the trash in front of customers . I watched them remove the ice from the oyster bar. As I left in the alley was a pile of ice seems inappropriate to throw it in the alley maybe a car will not see it and possibly cause an accident. I did like Station 16 when it first opened although now I will possibly choose another restaurant first. If you dine here please post and let me know what you experience. The Waitress...
Read moreThe overall experience was terrible. We were seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time because they weren't ready for us when we arrived. Our server took our drink and appetizer order which came out quickly and was pretty decent. Then she put in our entree order and let us know she had to go on lunch and introduced us to the server who would be covering for her. This is where everything fell apart. The new server asked us if we would like a drink refill, brought out my husband's beer and never returned with the other drinks. She never checked on is or our entree order. 40 minutes later when our original server returned from lunch we still hadn't received anything. The manager was walking the dining room during that time as well and also never checked on our meals or bothered to find out why the fill in server never checked on us. Our original server went to see why we hadn't received our meals and then about 10 minutes after, they were finally brought out to us. At that point they had been sitting under a heat lamp for probably close to 30 minutes and everything was soggy and overcooked. She took all the plates away and asked that the entire table's entrees be remade. New meals were brought out 15-20 minutes later. We never got the salad course, or addional sides we ordered and the new entrees were of mixed quality. My husband and I sent ours back twice because the lobster was a rubbery mess and the steak was overcooked the first time and nearly raw the second. We finally ended up just telling them we didn't want the meal. Our family members got their meals and decided they were OK enough. Overall, we were there 2 hours and received one round of drinks, a beer refill, one appetizer, 2 of the 4 entrees ordered, and none of the salads or sides. The manger had a terrible attitude when we complained and confronted my husband at the table demanding to know what his problem was. I was excited to try this place but I definitely...
Read moreService was absolutely horrible. We were one group of perhaps 2 other tables in the entire restaurant. Everyone ordered their food, plates started coming out in about 10 min, I waited patiently for at least 15 minutes after the first plates came until our waitress realized I didn't get mine. (most of the meals were the steak plate, mine was the mussels). She said mine would be out any minute now, not sure how steaks cooked faster than mussels, but I thanked her and continued to wait. Another 15 minutes passed, and finally, after everyone else was a good 75% done with their meals, my plate was delivered, not by our waitress however, by a young man, very pleasant. He sat the plate down and quickly walked away, looking down I realized that he had dropped off a bowl of clams...not mussels. Waited for a good 5 minutes for our waitress to come and check on us, I told her that this was the wrong plate, I'd ordered the mussels, not the clams, she says "oh you wanted the clams? I'll have them remake it." And then continued to stare at me assumming I'd just accept what I was given, when I replied "yes, I asked for the mussels. I dont care for clams." She disgruntingly took my bowl and walked back to the kitchen. I finally received my meal approximately 45+ minutes after we all placed our orders, needless to say, I was frustrated as I now had to eat hurriedly as everyone was well past done with their own meals. We received our bill, (which was well over $200) and didn't so much as get an apology. I didn't expect anything, but an apology would have been nice. Needless to say, we will not be visiting Sation 16 again. Sad, because the mussels, when I finally did receive them, were delicious, some of the...
