I used to love this place…unfortunately, the quality of the food has deteriorated. I thought initially it was a fluke so I decided to try a couple more times…it was not a fluke. I am glad to see this place still has good reviews but I highly recommend eating Thai elsewhere. There are lots of great places like one on J Street and a couple on Broadway. I added photos of our most recent experience. The first image is of the BBQ chicken: the chicken was lukewarm and the vegetables were raw and not steamed as their menu stated; the second image is of the drunken noodles and there was essentially no protein nor vegetables and a disproportionate amount of the very long noodles as opposed to the classic wide noodles. The decision is ultimately yours but I think it best to spend your money at another local establishment.

I went for dinner here at the suggestion of a coworker. Went about 5 pm and it was about 60% full. Got a table right away. Menu is limited, but about 2 dozen items including soups, salads, rice and stir fry dishes. I had the cashew nut chicken. From the first bite, the flavor just bursts in your mouth. Some if the best Thai food I've had (60 yo here, so had a lot). I also had the Thai iced tea. They filled it twice and asked me if I wanted a 3rd, for one price. By the time I left 45 minutes later place was packed. Lots of take out folks waiting as well. Staff was very friendly, polite, quick to serve and check up on you. Meal cost $13.50 + tip. Meal was hot and size was generous. I was stuffed when I left. Definitely going back.

Crazy food here. The food portions were huge and the service was spectacular with the constant check ups on us. Food was generally good! Pad Thai - sweeter than usual but absolutely amazing, I loved that it was friendly for non spicy lovers and still delicious! Green Curry - I eat a lot of Thai Green Curry and the taste was super authentic and lovely. The ingredients were generous as well. BBQ Chicken and Mixed Vegetables - still nice, chicken BBQ flavour was a little weak, the green vegetables was oyster sauce, nice! Tom Yum - decent at best! Too much mushrooms and lacked the usual kick of the Tom Yum. Still good tasting though! Drinks - HUGE and Sweet! Love the Thai Iced Coffee the most! Best part? Affordable!

I can not believe people are able to leave good, even some GLOWING reviews on one of the most racist restaurant experiences I have ever had to witness my mother go through in my lifetime. The staff was cold to her (for context, we are of Southern Asian descent), whereas any other customers (notably those of white/European descent) were treated with great respect. My mom still ordered the food, which was also coldly shoved to her by the staff. I believe the total price for all the food came out to be over $50, and for that price, I wish my mother had recalled the food instead of exhibiting solemn restraint against the rude staff.

The food was neither enjoyable nor authentic. The only dish I actually liked was the fried rice, but even that didn’t taste too great. Everything was chock full of overcooked broccoli and carrots, which threw off the balance of every single dish. The red curry had a bitter aftertaste and none of the spices were discernible. The pad see ew was bland, with dry chicken and again, no balance between the veggies and the rest of the dish. I will admit, the fried rice had well cooked shrimp and the most flavor I tasted in any of the dishes, but because of the carrots, it was still bitter.

Portions were okay, but overall the food was definitely not worth the price or the trauma. If you’re going to run a restaurant in America, a country advertising themselves as equal and just to all, and then expect to fly under the radar with racist customer service and mid-to-low-tier food to boot, then I’m sorry to say that you need to reevaluate all of your morals, ethical values, and the quality of the food you are serving.

If anyone reads this and believes for any reason that this review is unjustified or even brash, attempt to put yourselves in the shoes of a woman of color who was solely trying to order her family some food without causing any trouble and ended up being indirectly treated as if she was trash compared to customers of white/European descent. My mother could have easily called out the staff’s disgusting behavior towards her, or even fought back against it, but she stood down, and now I’m picking up the pieces and reminding the internet that yes, spiteful daughters who believe their mother deserves the world and the best treatment by everyone do exist.

Never step foot in this place, ever, especially if you are a person of color; you will most likely receive the same cold shoulder and racist attitude that my mother did today, and to reiterate, it is NOT worth it.

Thank you for your time, fellow folks of the Internet! Please stay safe, and I hope my review is thorough, detailed,...

Took the gf out to try a new thai place. I live one block down so its a 2 minute walk. The evening started out fine. Only took 5 minutes to get a table on a busy friday night. We sat at the bar, got water and then the poor service started kicking in. We could not get the attention of our server for the next 15 minutes to order a drink. We finally got the attention of another server and ordered our beers. She had obviously never learned to pour beer since she poured from the tap straight to the bottom of the glass causing tons of extra foam. After watching her pour the first beer in another 10 min, she turned and walked away and never poured the second. Took another 15 minutes to get her attention to take another 10 minutes to pour it. 50 minutes to get a couple drinks is outragrous. On top of that, we had four different servers attend us, one to seat us and tell us she was our server, one to pour drinks, one to take food orders, and one to grab two more beers at the end of the night. So who am i suppossed to tip? This also lead to an error on the bill at the end were they didn't add in three of the beers which the server noticed only as I was getting up and leaving. I didn't catch it because the receipt only has a total on it. Based on their performance as a whole it was not good service. The food is what saves this place. I got the shrimp noodle soup and she got the green curry beef. Both were great and came out pretty quickly. Big portions, and prices are quite good. I will be going back because I love good thai, but seriously train your servers. They all just wander around trying to help everybody which...

The food may be barely above average but the service this day was HORRIFIC.

A friend and I went there for lunch. She wanted the shrimp Pad Thai while I got the tofu green curry. I paid for our lunches using my card. While I was paying, the cashier was talking to a guy and paying attention to him as she processed our order.

After a decent 20 minute wait, we got our lunches. I asked my friend how her Pad Thai was. She said there's no shrimp so I brought it back inside for the correct order. After 10 more minutes, they brought it out to us. Not bad for 30 minutes of waiting. I wasn't in a rush.

After a few minutes, I went in to get my friend an additional order of Thai iced tea and as I was paying with cash, the cashier insisted I sign a new credit card bill adjusting for the incorrect order she rang up. I asked for the old bill and she responded this was the corrected bill. I said I will not sign a new bill unless I get the old one back.

She then raised such a ruckus, caused a scene including going outside, yelling at us to eat at home, and was just incredibly unprofessional telling us not to come back there again.

We were aghast at the way she treated us. We paid for 2 lunches and 3 Thai Iced coffee. Clearly, we're not there to bilk someone out of a shrimp pad Thai lunch. So my friend suggested I post a review on websites that review their restaurant.

Sheesh - all I wanted was the old bill she rang up wrong and she had a tantrum like a 2-year-old child being...
