Waikiki poke&ramen — Restaurant in Saddle Brook

I never leave reviews because I myself know what it takes to have to run a small business and support every one I go to with no judgment.

The food has great flavor and it’s addictive. But the 4 times I’ve had their ramen - miso and the tonkotsu. Within the same night/24hrs my family and I got terrible food poisoning. We had to go to the hospital from the severe abdominal pains, fever , chills, and everything you could think of. When my grandma and I were seen they found bacteria in our stomach and needed lots of fluids to help clean us out. The most recent experience of giving it another shot . Since I was craving the flavor of the soups and it being the closest one to us - I thought maybe it was just a one time situation. This time around I am writing this as I am in the hospital AGAIN where they have found I had parasite bacterium in my stomach. My sister in law is also in the same circumstance as well. We both only ate here and had nothing else for the day before getting sick. I’m sorry. But please be more cautious with your broth storage or food treatment/safety. I am literally so scared. I never got this sick since I last traveled out the country. I shouldn’t even have to compare :(

I am sooo happy with Waikiki. My sister is really into poke bowls (and comes here often), but I am not a big fan of poke so I had chicken Teriyaki. It was so flavorful, super fresh. I felt good while I was eating it. I think in other casual dining places the chicken teriyaki feels over fried and really fatty. Not at Waikiki! I pretty much licked the bowl clean in record time. If I could adjust anything, I did feel that the Teriyaki sauce was a little watery, but delicious either way.

We dined in and I found it the restaurant to be very clean and bright, they have free wifi. The food came out promptly. When I didnt have my face in the bowl shoveling their mouth-watering teriyaki bowl into my face, I found the staff and overall logistics to act like a well oiled machine. Staff was really friendly and made great recommendations (like adding spring greens to my bowl). Parking was easy and plenty of options.

I am excited to try the rest of the menu, especially the ramen, and I look forward to...

What a happy discovery. Spouse and I recently moved to the area and were looking for some poke as a post-workout meal. Found this place on Google. The great reviews brought us in and we're so glad we tried it.

We always get their poke bowls (we've been back several times already) and they're always fantastic. The rice is warm and the fish is cold. (So many other places give you cold rice!). Ingredients are fresh. Fish is nice and firm. There are variety of toppings you can add to a custom bowl and the servings are quite generous.

We have yet to dine in but still found the atmosphere quite charming. Unlike another poke place located a few miles away we tried a week before, this place felt more authentic. Thats probably because this place seems to be a family affair; with the owners serving us directly and the adorable kids help taking care of us at checkout.
