I came on here to express the calm and collected demeanor of the manager as he dealt with a very agitated customer on Saturday 6/10/23. I am looking at the reviews and can see the customer has decided to “review bomb” this Dairy Queen location for the incident I witnessed. This store closes at 11:30 on weekends, and I came in late around 11:20 because a friend of mine who is sick was craving ice cream. I could tell they were wrapping up, but the kids at the counter were more than happy to help. As I was ordering, a man walked inside with a Dairy Queen box, presumably a to go type item. He attempted to put this item into the stores display freezer and switch it out for another item without consulting an employee. The manager on duty took notice of this and calmly explained to the man that this was not allowed, and was against store policy as well as a food safety/contamination concern. The man became irate, quickly cursing at the kids and the manager behind the counter saying that he hadn’t contaminated the product and the product was sealed with tape. The manager on duty repeated the store/safety policy but the man became more irate. He threatened the store would “get 20 negative reviews instantly” and dropped multiple F bombs. The manager once again kept calm and asked the man to leave after explaining the policy once again. He would not, so the manager called the police to remove the man. I left once I got my ice cream, but witnessed most of the event. I felt so bad for the kids behind the counter! They seemed a little scared. They were high school aged. kids! They don’t deserve to be berated by an angry man who doesn’t understand the rules. Like I said before, I came in here to commend the manager for his calm and collected behavior, but I see this man and his family are attacking this stores dignity. Those reviews are not warranted whatsoever. I have always been a happy and satisfied customer and have never had any issues when picking up cakes for my family’s parties or any occasion. I am happy that this location takes its food safety seriously as well, as I wouldn’t want a product that left the store and was resold. That sounds like a lawsuit...

Read moreThe manager Tim is incredible. Today i brought my little sister to Dairy Queen and I witnessed a family enter the location without masks or social distancing. I, of course, kept my distance but didn’t feel comfortable confronting the family. Tim hadn’t noticed the family at first but when I brought them to his attention he immediately stepped in and asked them to either put masks on or wait outside out of respect for his employees and the other customers. The family became irate and yelled at Tim, calling him names and swearing in front of my 11 year old sister as well as their own young children. Tim remained calm throughout the entire ordeal, continuing to politely ask them to put their masks on and eventually requesting they leave the premises altogether. I’ve seen a lot of disrespect when it comes to masks and social distancing lately, as well as plenty of people losing their cool in response to it. Tim handled the situation wonderfully and proves to be a great role model for the younger staff at...
