Bagel Bros Deli — Restaurant in Saddle Brook

Food was good however the "owner" and whomever else was working on the grill have zero knowledge on how to appropriately run a business. I came in for BEC sandwich. It was busy and there were only 4 total staff members. The two male employees, I assume one was the owner, repeatedly yelled at the two girls and complained about them. I was in there for 15 minutes and there was not one single item that came off the grill that they did not have a complaint and verbally yelled at the two girls taking orders. I was disappointed. I realized I forgot to ask for ketchup so I asked the girls to please let them know for which they then yelled at the girls to get the order right. At this point - I had enough and I asked the "owner" to refrain from yelling at his employees in front of the customers and that I hadn't heard him say a single nice thing since I walked in the door. He tried to justify it by saying they get the orders wrong - so I asked him why didn't he yell at me for ordering wrong - which he replied he doesn't yell at customers. Well I told him that in all my years working in food service up to multi million dollar companies I would never find his behavior acceptable. Walked in with my toddler and there were only 3 people either waiting for their food or to place an order. Not busy at all for 9:45am. I ordered a few items along with a bagel with cream cheese. The older woman who took my order asked if I wanted the bagel toasted; I said no because it was for my toddler daughter. She seemed like she didn’t want to be there for it being not busy.

Being it wasn’t busy I trusted I didn’t have to check my order so I left quickly. It wasn’t until I arrived to the park with my daughter that I saw her bagel was toasted & runny cream cheese, which makes it very messy for a young toddler.

It was my 1st time coming to this place but reading a lot of negative reviews about this place I’m not sure I would go back because it seems like customer service lacks severely as well as a QA check...

Came in to order the “build up “ wrap and orange juice. When I decided to switch the orange juice to water the manager told me he already inserted the order and didn’t feel like changing it. After that I waited to watch how my wrap was going to be made which is suppose to come with turkey bacon egg whites and grilled chicken. I watched the cook throw sliced fried chicken cutlet onto my egg white . I asked why am I recieving fried chicken cutlet when the signature store wrap comes with grilled chicken.. the manager responded was that they’re all out and he never had a problem until me.
