My husband and I came here because I love Thai food and Tom yum soup is my favorite soup on the planet. I had Lo Mein and my husband had sweet and sour chicken, I didn't like the noodles in the Lo Mein and my husband wasn't impressed with his sweet and sour chicken. : The waitress told me the next time I want to come I need to make a reservation, which I don't like to do typically but I agreed. The other day I drove by and no one was there in the parking lot, I drove by an hour later and the parking lot was still empty. The establishment has decent food nothing extraordinary and for some odd reason the chef adds lemon juice not lime juice to Tom Yum Soup, also as per the soup the veggies were cut too small and therefore sunk to the bottom of the bowl. This place would do better as a kiosk or takeout only establishment and the chef needs to learn to prepare better for the meals, it takes way too long to get a meal. I could tell right off it was going to be interesting as there were only two waitresses and only 1 spoke broken English and keeps telling me, it's gonna take 40 minutes, thankfully they had hot tea, albeit not in a teapot, to drink to pass the time. Overall, I wouldn't go back..it's not a cute place inside or outside..it's what one would call a dive but one of those places to avoid, there are plenty of other Thai restaurants in the area that you don't have to make a reservation or wait an 40 minutes to eat. BTW Saginaw has two Asian Markets so I got recipes and make my own Tom yum soup which is much...
Read moreI wish I could give everything aspect of this quaint restaurant a 6th star! Truly outstanding service & delicious food— worth going out of your way for (but always call ahead)! Peter & Chia’s often sell out because the product they deliver is SO outstanding. Their generous menu offers dishes that have been perfected, with items for every palate & diet. (Even offering an entirely separate vegan menu!) Every dish is made-to-order, and the quality is evident! I’ve personally really loved their Thai basil fried rice & Panang curry, but I’d recommend anything on the menu— each meal is loaded with fresh vegetables and herbs to pack powerful flavor, and the owner has said they specially keep the meals low sugar and free from unnecessary additions. The meals are prepared as if for family, and guests are treated like friends— owner Chia is so friendly and personable, and has gained many regulars. The restaurant itself is small, with much personality, and offers a couple tables for eating in, but all meals are prepared to-go. Please be mindful to order in advance, as wait times can be lengthy due to the fresh, individual preparation of each meal. I promise, it’s SO worth it. Card is accepted, but remember to support small businesses with cash if possible! Please give this small business the love that they provide back to the community. It’s truly a gem, and Chia & Peter are...
Read moreAmazing, family owned, Thai and Chinese eatery! We love eating here. I have a major gluten allergy and Chia is amazing with helping me to order safely. Please make sure if you have a gluten allergy to take time to talk to her about what you’re wanting and whether they can make that dish safely. I’ve only gotten sick when I incorrectly order something on accident that isn’t gluten free. This place gets super busy so I recommend ordering ahead of time. They’ll even let you order the day before.
Not gluten free but the Thai fried rice is the best my mom’s had in 20 years. She usually hates fried rice but has loved it at only 2 places. This is 1 of those. They have an awesome gluten free fried rice that is wonderful and my favorite but you need to make sure they know not to use the regular fry sauce if you’re allergic to gluten.
They have amazing build your own options and can accommodate most food allergies and most alternate lifestyle options (lots of vegetarian, vegan, no oil, and gluten...
