Decided to try this place after passing thru a few times. Outside nothing catches your eye. Plain beige building with a black and white sign. Inside is a completely different story. A whole lot of color. Monitors with food flashing. A lot pictures on the walls. A giant burrito challenge with $11,000 prize money. Everything is a little overwhelming. The lady saw that I had a lost look and asked what I wanted, not really knowing what they had. She stated they sold burritos, quesadillas and bowls. Since a gentleman in front of me ordered a bowl that’s what I opted for. I ordered the bowl with cilantro rice, black beans, chicken and carne asada. Also added roasted potatoes, cheese, guacamole, poco de gallo, shredded cabbage and some pickled carrots. They had a bunch of other stuff, but since this was my first time I did not want to go overboard. This bowl with a bottle drink came out to about $16. They have a little salsa bar with three of their salsas. I tasted all three( two green and one red) I went with the creamy green salsa as it had the best flavor. None of the three were super spicy more of a medium spicy level. Taste was pretty good. I was surprised at the fist bite as in my head I was comparing it to a Chipotle bowl. Boy was I wrong, evening was seasoned just right and nothing was bland. The chicken and the carne were moist seasoned well. The pickled carrots/ jalapeños were delicious with just a smidge of sweetness. I really enjoyed this bowl. Service was super as i was helped by a lady that was working by herself. This is a place I will come back to. Things I wish I knew before ordering. The menu is written on the left hand wall as you walk in. What I thought was a bunch of scribbles and signatures, was actually the menu. It didn’t help that I did not have my glasses on. But if you come, take a good look at it and see...
Read morePretty terrible experience. Have ordered here once before, it wasn't bad. Food was certainly good. Not this time. I arrived about 5 minutes after the latest estimate for when order would be ready. Went to the cashier, gave my name, and was told it would be a few minutes. No problem. 25 minutes later of waiting with no follow up left me pretty annoyed with these guys. I'm not sure if they received the order late (though if that were the case they could have asked for my confirmation email) or what happened, but I could have not ordered through GrubHub and simply gone there and wait in line, and would have received my order much quicker. After the first 15-20 minutes of waiting, I watch as 2 burritos sit on a piece of metal between the cashier and cook top for at least 5 minutes, and turns out they're mine. Big surprise, I get back to where I'm going (a few minutes away) and it's cold. First impression was good, but after this one I would rather go just about anywhere else in the area. These guys clearly don't care and aren't worth supporting.
Edit: Oh and when they get a review on Google that isn't positive, the "owner" has a tendency to simply write "thank you for your feedback". If you want some honest reviews if you're thinking about ordering their delivery or pickup, go check GrubHub. These guys are awful.
Edit 2: It has been made clear after looking at more responses from the "owner" to both positive and negative reviews that they use a barely literate high schooler (sorry to be redundant there) who likes to argue with certain customers online (as opposed to taking it offline) to respond to their social media. I look forward to...
Read moreI used to come here all the time and would have rated them five stars but recently the place has become trash. The workers are rude and don't want to be there. I use five star app so they can tell that I come a lot so of course I will know what's fresh and not. First she tries to give me broken crispy taco shells. Second she gets an attitude and says we don't have anymore crispy shells. Well it's four o'clock before the dinner rush, so you don't have anymore shells. Then I say ok I don't want that and I will only get the burrito. So I ask to taste the chicken because I didn't want any dry chicken. She puts the chicken directly in my hand, normally they put it in a cup so you don't burn your hand from the steam. Luckily I didn't get burn. Then she puts the chicken on my burrito after I said I didn't want the juice smothering the chicken in juice. The burrito is super wet and dripping. The young man who is beside her, I told him y'all can't fix the burrito. He says no we wrap them anyway. Well when the burrito is to wet, it will drop from the aluminum foil. I had on very light pants so I didn't want to get messy from the burrito. So I just told him I didn't want it and that I would never come back due to their poor attitudes. Next time I will go to Western Center if I want bad Azz burrito and I will never...
