I grew up on the Jersey Shore. to this day I remember the great taste of the shrimp from 40 years ago that was served by the local sea food place.. Kababeque offered a shrimp entree that brought me back there in taste and consistency. Every time I go back and order a shrimp dinner, it is the same and stupidly delicious. I have had experience with them that the nan was not completely cooked and I have not ordered any chicken but the lamb is great and yes sometimes it may be a bit dry.. all that is needed is to let them know.. they are very nice people and will listen. Anyone who has given this place a less than positive review should know that it is not in good taste to do this with a company that clearly has their clients best interest in heart which of course is the serving of superior Indian cuisine. So what that sometimes things are not perfect.. neither are the people who write about things that they think are not right. maybe these people believe their own bs. In a world like todays, Kababeque is old school and some of the best food that I have eaten in this area. they should be given a key to the city! WHY do I take the time to write this? No particular reason. To the people who have not tried this place.. what are you...
Read moreThe staff was great. Our curry chicken, made with dark meat was appropriately spiced, and tasty. I love the cumulative burn of properly spiced food. We usually eat hot at Punjab, and "Indian spicy" at saffron. Here we ordered medium to start, and will go hot next time. Sadly, you get 1/2 as much as you would get at Saffron or Punjab in Tucson for the same price. The nan was rubbery and chewy, they were out of the garlic nan. All in all we did not have to drive into Tucson, and will probably eat here again though not as much if it were a mini Saffron or Punjab in this place. I've eaten at a dozen of the Tucson Indian restaurants, and we make our own saag and curry sauces at home, using black rice, chicken, and/or veggies. So when we go out, we are hoping for yummy food. One star gone for rubbery nan, and one for twice the price. Our hopes, however are high...
Read moreI ordered a carry out today from Kababeque today. It only took 10 minutes to prepare, although it was not actually a peak time so at other times it would probably take longer.
Customer service by Mia was excellent and she was a delight to talk to.
The food was absolutely fantastic and without doubt the best Indian food I have tasted. I am a Brit and have lived and worked over many years in the Middle and Far East, and, along with my life in Britain, am very familiar with Indian cuisine. Today I had a chicken biryani with added shrimp and my wife (an American and therefore not familiar with Asian Indian cuisine) had the chicken tikka masala (on my recommendation); and she thought her meal was utterly delicious. In addition the naan bread was freshly and perfectly cooked.
Thank you very much, Kababeque. We will now be...
