we decided to order from them at the amphitheater farmers market around 11:50. we wanted the chicken chedder arepa, but were told that they were out of both chicken and beef, so we opted for the pork and feta arepa. we were told that the wait would be around 25-30 minutes - no big deal, we’ll just walk around the market some more. we come back to wait for our food around 12:10 (20 minutes later) and there are crowds of people waiting for their order. the lady taking orders is obviously confused, not remembering who ordered what or in what order. people who ordered after us were getting their food before us and we realized she probably forgot our order. while we waited, another customer came up and ordered TWO CHICKEN arepas?? so now they have chicken? finally, at 12:35, we get the arepa. (45 min later !!!!) the arepa itself was not worth it… basically unedible. smelled and looked rotten.. all for 12 dollars and 45 minutes of wasted time and money.

We ordered via DoorDash 1 Gyro Arepa 1 Lobster Arepa We received the Gyro Arepa, but got a beef arepa instead of the lobster, interesting. Nevertheless , the food was decent, a little salty/greasy, but pretty ok with flavor. Whatever the beef one was assuming a classic, was better than the Gyro Just don’t understand the order mix up!

Enjoyed grabbing a bite here when we were at the St Augustine amphitheater for a concert. We tried the yucca fries with honey and feta cheese. Wow! Would have never thought of this combo but it had a nice savory and sweet flavor! Definitely keep a look out for this food truck!

RealRhachel Review:

Having visited the Arepa Live Food Truck at Marita Munch in St. Augustine, I had the opportunity to try their Elote Hot Dog, though it didn't quite align with my personal taste preferences. However, it was clear that this dish resonated with many others, as my friends thoroughly enjoyed it.

According to them, the Elote Hot Dog was a delightful blend of fresh, crisp ingredients bursting with flavor. The combination of the juicy hot dog and the savory elote toppings created a unique and satisfying culinary experience.

While it may not have been to my liking, I can appreciate the appeal of this dish for those who enjoy bold and flavorful street food options. Despite not being something I would typically order, I can certainly see why it has garnered praise from others.

Overall, while the Elote Hot Dog may not have won me over, it's evident that Arepa Live Food Truck offers a diverse and flavorful menu that caters to a range of tastes. For those seeking an adventurous dining experience in St. Augustine, it's worth giving their offerings a try.

Ps the Tres Leches cake was...

One star because the food was pretty good. Absolutely worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life though. The lady who served us couldn’t speak any English and got upset that she couldn’t understand us. Obnoxious attitude and acted like she was annoyed that she had to assist us. I’m sorry you hate your job, I’m sure with the way you treat your customers you won’t have any...
