Read moreMy husband and I have stayed at boats in the marina a few times now but never really tried the food trucks. On this trip we did. Big Daddy’s LoCo food truck wasn’t just amazing, it was outstanding. It was superb. It was literally the best food I’ve had in st Augustine. I’ve been to hurricane pattys. I’ve been to st Augustine fish camp. I’ve been to the fancy places down town and on our last night here we didn’t want to go out or eat heavy so we opted for big daddy’s. Lord I wish I would have ate there the first night because it’s all I would have eaten on this 5 day trip!!! The husband and wife duo are so friendly and open hearted and it was like my literal momma and daddy were making a meal for me. The peel and eat shrimp weren’t some of the best. They were THE BEST. The softshell crab? I’ve never had it until now and I will never have it any other place except big daddy’s cause he can throw it down! The grouper was grilled to perfection. The Mac n cheese was plentiful and cheeeesey and the creole sauce in my salad was amazing. They’ve won my heart, my stomach, and my wallet any time I’m hungry in...

No matter what time I go to the Marina, there is never more than 2 food trucks serving food. Most times it’s only one. I imagine it’s difficult to find trucks that want to stay at the same location 24/7, but I think it is important to require that the trucks at Marina Munch have a minimum number of hours and, most importantly, that they’re open on weekends when people will be at the Marina.
Yamo food truck is a local food truck that is awesome, I’m not sure if they would be interested in parking at Marina Munch. Or if not Yamo, a pizza food truck would be cool. And a Smoothie/breakfast food truck. With 5 spots I think a good mix woukd be something like: Uptown Scratch Kitchen, Yamo (or something similar), Lets Taco, Fire & Smoke BBQ, and a...
