The atmosphere is calm and the wooden interior design is warm and inviting. While originally here to help a friend out with a few rides, I found myself thoroughly enjoying the food, music, and space for studying. The volume level is typical of a coffee shop, with good music and everyday conversations that warm the heart with a good cup of coffee, chips and queso, or a handmade churro blondie. I ordered 4 items during my time studying today and all of them were hits! I started the morning with the Calico Hash and a 16 oz Bees Knees Latte. The staff were wonderfully friendly and even helped when slipping my mind on lactose intolerance and corrected the milk choice before I had finished placing the order. The Bees Knees is an apt description as it is sweet but not too sweet, and the flavor description is accurate with bright honey and vanilla notes. The cinnamon is a soft aftertaste and made for a fragrant beverage that was lovely. The Calico Hash surprised me, as the hashbrown style is a bit different than your typical, and the pleasant crunch after mixing the flavors together was phenomenal. The green chili spicy chorizo gravy packs a soft punch and complimented the pico, chorizo, and brisket mixture. I then spent a few hours studying and watching the store come to life with customers. Totally deserved with how kind the staff are and welcoming of an environment that's curated. I had a few staff members check in on me to make sure everything was good while I dined and I couldn't sing higher praises. After having been focused for a while I went back and got the House-made Churro Blondie. Soft, supple, classic and elevated. It wasn't very crumbly, the retained moisture made for a quick dessert that you couldn't stop grabbing for. I complimented the quick sweet with the Tropical Sun Crafted Energy Fresca which was lovely! The bright flavors from the passionfruit and starfruit were strong but not overpowering with a great ratio of flavor to sparkling water. I typically stay out of the way of sparkling water, as I tend to dislike such, but I looved this drink, and can't tell you if I would recommend one drink over the other. Overall, this was a lovely visit and I hope to be back soon, a happy local spot in St. Augustine for sure. Glad that this space has amazing energy compared to the Tijuana Flats that was here before, the difference in energy is unreal. Thank you for making an experience out of an everyday drink. Truly one of the best ways to...
Read moreThe Atmosphere and Service were great, everyone is helpful and kind. Clean and new environment, seating is a tad bit tight. On my first experience here on the opening day, it was a positive one. I hope this establishment can maintain their level of quality & service as time goes on since the price point per taco is on the higher end. This time I enjoyed my Chorizo Taco (Area 51 Taco) The flavor and combination of eggs & Monterey cheese were great. 10/10! The Brisket taco (Texas Hold'em Taco) was good value for money since they did have a decent amount of protein on the taco and the texture of the brisket was tender. The flavor was mild, which made the brisket an understatement. Adding the hot sauce onto this taco gave it what it needed to bring the whole taco together, the hottest sauce they had was hot as tacobell's fire sauce- which for spice lovers, is still on the mild side. 8/10. The Squawk on The street was my least favorite. flavor was not there at all, the combination of goat cheese and pepper jelly clashed and the flavor of the protein again was not there. 7/10. All in all, it was for me a 8/10 experience and value for...
Read moreDelicious! First time in so I tried a few breakfast tacos and coffee.😅 I got the Egg on your face, Gravy Crockett, the Texas Hold’em, and an iced Maple Tap to drink. Couldn’t finish the tacos, so delicious but I was too full! The Hold’em was FULL of barbacoa, egg, and cheese. The Crockett was GREAT with bacon, green chili spicy chorizo, and potato chip sticks(like the crunchy part of potato hash. My favorite). And I had to save the Egg on your face for later. But it has eggs, bacon, potato sticks, and queso.” The latte was outstanding as well and could easily become my #1 stop for coffee over other bigger brand coffee shops! The tortillas were freshly pressed and made to order, salsas were fresh and self serve with good flavor, and gradual heat. And the manager gave me some queso to try, also delicious! Had some nice heat to it. I’ll definitely be back for breakfast and lunch in the future, and like I said this may be my new spot for coffee. The staff were friendly and informative and the manager was engaging and helpful. Glad to have this in...
