Five Star Pizza — Restaurant in Florida

This place used to be great but they must have changed management and it is now a rip-off. Paid $20 for a plain cheese thin crust pizza ($19.61 and don’t forget to tip 🤣 on carry out as they remind you) That included an up charge for the privilege of getting thin crust.

Thin crust dudes (you, the people who run the place) is not thin pizza. It is the dough. But this garbagy flatbread is like a dense thin crust (think yuk not light) and the sauce and the whole thing: crust, sauce and cheese together don’t even make a full slice the thickness of two quarters. That’s what I’m showing you in the picture. Look at the picture and weep. When they handed me the box it felt empty.

Seriously I’ve ordered a thin crust forever but now it feels like they just stick a tablespoon of sauce and a tablespoon of cheese on and spread it as thin as they can with a butter knife.

On top of it all it leaves a really bad oily aftertaste.

Nothing like Five Star here in Mandarin used to be just 2-3 months ago. Whoever got the place is just stingy as the Scrooge with all the ingredients. They ruined a great pizzeria and now not fit to even give my dog a stomach ache with this sorry excuse. Amazing they can’t even get the dough to rise properly so it is bubbly and light, no enjoyment at all! Yuk! Eww! Jacks $3.50 pizza is about the same at Walmart. Embarrassing as can be!!!

We had a coupon from the Trolly tour we just finished and ordered a meal deal but apparently they had outdated coupons. The deal was large pizza, garlic rolls and a 2 liter for $19.99. Once the total hit it was $34. They said the price went up and they haven’t seen that price in a while. Originally it was a younger girl who want very knowledgeable about deals and she kept shaving me repeat everything… about 4 times. I was getting very frustrated but thought it could have been her first day. She put someone else on the line who explained the owner may not have distributed the new books yet or they just had old books. She seemed very knowledgeable and friendly and honored the deal as long as I took the coupon in. I went in to pay and the man at the front counter was so nice and even took our food out to our car with plates, napkins, Parmesan and pepper flakes. He hooked it up. Pizza was done in 10 minutes and was cooked to perfection. The garlic rolls were heaven in a box and melted in my mouth. You don’t find ppl like this anymore and the pizza...

I'm not one to review often but after eating this pizza I was shocked that this establishment only had 4.4 stars, so I decided to give my feed back. After calling 2 other pizza shops that didn't deliver, I found five star pizza. From the moment I called it was a fantastic experience. The person who took my order was courteous and quick. He didn't tell me how long it would take but I figured since one of their drivers was across the street while I was ordering and it was a Friday night on labor day weekend. It would be at least hour or more. I hung up the phone with them at 7:38pm at 7:57 I got a call from a strange number. It was the driver and he was at the front gate with my order already.....I was like are you sure it's mine. Yep it was. Ok well that was fast right? There is no way that pizza is good right? Well wrong. it was the best pizza I've had in some time and I'm no stranger to pizza. I'm very happy the other companies didn't deliver because I'm sure the experience would not have been as good as from five star!...
