They need more training for new teen employees. This is the second time in the last two weeks I’ve had a bad experience and today was just kinda shocking the level of incompetence. I ordered a GF Double burger Mustard, Mayo, Katchup on the side. Medium fries and a 2 count chicken tenders with honey mustard for my toddler. This was at the drive through and I asked for my receipt as I wasn’t sure he heard me correctly and it’s super common for gluten free orders to get messed up so it’s a habit to double check as it is an allergy for me. The kid was very monotone Gen Z stare, he was out of paper then when he got paper asked if I knew how to load the machine. I kindly and politely told him I didn’t but I could wait a min no big deal. The order was put in to the system fine aside from missing Katchup so I knew to ask for that when it came out.
Here is the major problem. When my order came out I asked for Katchup and while they were grabbing that double checked the bag out of habit to ensure the gluten free bun was there. This bag only had the chicken tenders, fries, and sauce. My burger and bun were missing. I again politely told this to the young lady who brought out the food. Again Gen Z stare and “well the recipe on the bag says it’s there”. I proceeded to politely hand her my receipt and well as showing her the bag she had handed me to display that were were missing a few items. She again stared at me blankly for like 30-45 seconds before taking all the food back inside and bringing me back out the second missing bag with my burger and bun. When we get home we were missing mustard which had been input on the receipt so I didn’t think I needed to ask for it.
Lots of mistakes and a huge lack of customer service. I’m older Gen Z (24) and the lack of customer service skill with these kids shocks me as someone who worked in customer service at their age. It may be that they just got a new group of hires at the end of the summer but someone needs to teach them how to do basic tasks like loading the paper, printing receipts, reading back someone’s order to them to ensure it’s right especially with things like allergy orders, as well as simple customer service perky tone and simple customer service phrases or what to do when a customer says hey you forgot something. I was using my happy customer service voice and tone with them the whole time trying to be happy, pleasant, and patient. These kids had absolutely none of that I get it’s a busy Sunday at lunch time but it’s was like my entire existence was putting them out of their day. Ive gone to Culvers several times and each time has been a horrible experience. One time I went and asked for a strawberry concrete. The worker said "sorry we dont have strawberry concretes" i stood there like... okay what other toppings are available? She stood there without saying a word with a blank expression on her face. I stood there like HELLO??? And asked is there strawberies? She said yes. I said, okay and are you doing concretes? She said yes. So I said okay so I want a strawberry concrete. She rang it up as a strawberry shake or something because I ended up getting a shake. It honestly made me so mad how incompetent she was at a simple strawberry concrete. I shouldnt have to sit there and explain add the strawberries to the vanilla concrete. Its obvious what I meant when I say "I want a strawberry concrete". Same as saying I want a watermelon lemon ice. I went there a week ago and they rang me up then never came out to give me my order. Waited an hour with the number on my car only to have to go in and ask about it. They said they forgot about me and were sorry. Didnt even offer to compensate the order back or anything free. How the hell do you mess up that bad!? Went again yesterday stupidly thinking it could be better. Nope! Again, no receipt given and my whole order MESSED UP!!!! asked for a value basket- chicken with fries and just got the chicken. Every single person that saw that order made a FACE like it was wrong and still gave me the order with no fries. They kept saying fries dont come with it. Okay first of all, its a value basket. Second of all if the value basket doesnt come with fries and I asked for fries why not ring up FRIES FOR ME. JESUS CHRIST!!!!!. THE MOST INCOMPETENT people work here. Read moreThis place has really gone down hill since they exchanged ownership. Not as clean, not as fast, and food it just not the same either. They Fries were half new and half older cold fries. I met the new owner and he is a really nice guy but someone at corporate needs to get him so more training. There is a noticeable reduction in business at this location. I hope they can get it fixed. The one thing that saves them is their ice cream. It still tastes great.
8/11/24 I thought this place sucked the last time I was here but it was terrible. I ordered two scoops of ice cream on a cone and ordered two scoops of ice cream in a dish. They said they were giving me my cone and they gave me two of the smallest scoops of ice cream ever. And I'm actually here sitting still 20 minutes later and they haven't brought my other dish of ice cream and it was supposed to be something with caramel and pecans and literally they had one pecan stuck in the side of the cone to satisfy the pecan part of the ice cream it was supposed to be. I was assuming it would be mixed in with the ice cream but it wasn't. So this mixture was supposed to have caramel and pecans in it very little caramel and had one pecan stuck in the side of it so this place is gotten bad but now this is the worst. Don't eat at this place their management is horrible and it was unbelievable that they would serve me an ice cream cone that awful.
