BEWARE OF DOUBLE CHARGES :
What a terrible store. Contractor and I went to buy flooring. Cashier couldnt do basic math and was very impressed in the contractors ability to add and multiple. Thought how strange.. You should know basic math as a cashier.
Get home, bank account shows 2 charges for 931 despite my receipt showing one transaction. It's Sunday. I need to pay the contractor. Call Home Depot express my frustration, girl who answered says she can't do anything over the phone but if I come up there it should be resolved. Asked 2X if it would be despite it not showing on one receipt but my bank and card services show it was an actual charge she says yes.
Get up there to talk to the manager TONY. Cashier probably in his 60s was smirking the entire time. Tony said because he didn't see the transaction he can't do nothing about it, dispute with the bank.
BUT ITS A SUNDAY. So therefore left me in a predicament of exposed subfloor with 3 kids because I now don't have the funds for up to 30 days while disputing it and cant pay the contractor.
While arguing that because of THEIR INCOMPENTENCE they ruined so much and now I have a safety hazzard for my kids going on - Cashier next to Tony telling me it's a hold from the bank not a charge still smirking, despite me explaining card service and my bank account show it's an ACTUAL charge.
I said I didn't know what he found funny because it's a horrible situation because of HOME DEPOT nobody else - and he found the entire situation funny.
So uneducated employees, (I mean really BASIC MATH AS A CASHIER?!?!?!) ignorant employees, and clearly don't care about how their mess ups effect their customers.
Returning EVERYTHING and going to Lowes. Contractor spends 10k a year there and said he is switching to Lowes after how incredibly stupid this was.
I also have alot of home projects in place and 100% will go to Lowes. NICE employees, better quality items, and this actually happened to me with a pick up recently from there and they refunded the card.. in the store ZERO issue.
Home Depot if you google them and overcharging is in trouble and facing lawsuits from not even a year ago for overcharging customers. Check ALL your receipts.
First red flag probably should've been a home improvement store which generally requires basic math has cashiers working for them that can't even preform the duties of the job.
I will always mention my experience to anyone I see entering as I frequent Target next door about 3x a week. I will continue to talk about the situation until you fix something. By the looks of the reviews you guys haven't cared about this store in awhile.
Listen to your customers. Or "former customers"
"Marcus and Blank implemented a customer “bill of rights,” which stated that customers should always expect the best assortment, quantity and price, as well as the help of a trained sales associate, when they visit a Home Depot store. These commitments were an extension of the company’s “whatever it takes” philosophy. “At the end of the day, we’re in the people business.”
SURE YOU ARE. You are in the money business. The situation speaks for itself along with the lawsuits and reviews just on this store alone!!!
Dispute in process with the fraud department with my bank and returning my 931$ of vinyl flooring tomorrow. I only chose home depot because it was 50$ cheaper on sale. Whew LESSON LEARNED. I'd rather spend a few HUNDRED more at Lowes for better...
Read moreHORRIBLY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!I purchased a washer, dryer, microwave, and refrigerator on Feb. 5th. 2014. I was scheduled to pick them up on Saturday the 8th. I picked up the units, and connected the floor model refrigerator and water started leaking all over my floor, I quickly turned off the water and found that the fridge water line was damaged. I also purchased an extended warranty w/ the refrigerator, so I was not too concerned, I returned to home depot in St. Charles and talked w/ the appliance person and Manager on duty, I was told all I had to do was contact Samsung Support and they would dispatch a tech, So I left and called Samsung, they told me it was Home Depot's problem because it was within the 48 hours of the purchase. I then called the manager on duty who told me he would take care of it and contact Samsung support and talk with his Supervisor and get a hold of me on Monday before 2p.m., at 4p.m. I called Home Depot again to see the status, the appliance person told me that the manager told him to call me and get this worked out, So at this point nobody had contacted Samsung support, after having to wait an hour for them to shovel to remove snow from around the truck I rented, and the new appliance I just purchased being defective, and then having them tell me to call support with no resolution, I asked him to have the store manager contact me, He said he would, Now Tuesday rolls around and still no contact from anyone, So I call again and ask for the manager and explain everything that has happened, he quickly tells me to hold on and wants to transfer me to appliances. So after this lack luster display of customer service, and the general attitude that they expect my business I have decided to return all items, Maybe Home Depot is unaware that there are other options when it comes to purchasing appliances. I have spent over $10,000.00 at Home depot over the last few years and have the credit card statements to prove it, you would think that the least they could do is pick up the phone and maybe, just maybe offer at least unmeaningful apology? To say the least I have now wasted over 7 hours just trying to purchase something, I lost an hour waiting for them to free up the truck I was renting, then I was told they would load all appliances, well an 18 yr. kid should not be loading major appliances alone up a ramp onto a truck so my son and myself had to assist, then between calling support, Home Depot, and going back up there, and finally the time I lost installing and now removing the items. Overall I would say this is an epic FAIL! When did average customer service become something we praise, when did earning your business change to expected, So if you are planning to purchase appliances I would strongly consider...
Read moreSo was going to write this review of mindset of 1 star due to the chip of these customer representatives(last few weeks) at Home Depot but I am giving this Home Depot a 4 star based on the manager (Mr. J I believe and wanted to give a 5 star just base on him) that was working today 7/30/23.
Anyways if your reading this review I would suggest not to buy anything that isn't likely Home Depot product or is only online product because then you can avoid the headache that I have gone through (Again wanted to reiterate thank you to the manager on duty that was amazing and helped my situation).
So bought fan online and waited a few weeks to come pick up at this location. Anyways I don't shop at this location at all but they are the ones that had the pickup. When I arrived I went straight into the area with the big sign that says something along the lines of Pick up and etcs. I ask the lady politely and addressed politely where would I be able to pick up online orders. She advised me rudely with no one around well you wait over there but since your here Ill help you. She tried to get help for the package then showed me where the big fan was stored. I advised her I can pick it up but what bothered me was that it looked beat up. So then before I put in my vehicle I see holes all around and top and was like what?
So go to setup the fan 40 minutes away from Cave Springs and behold opening the box there was a tire missing. So I called the manager and advised him what happened and he asked what I would like to do. I told him just need the tire. A few weeks passed and I go up there again asked was there any status and there was one lady trying to help and advising the lady manager where she did not looks so happy about my situation but agreed that I could come in and get a tire if they have one of size.
So we get to today and I work all 6 days a week and to come to place that I don't shop and on my day off with already approvals from 2 different managers I go up to a lady rep and advise her of the situation. Not asking demanding anything but telling the situation.
Unfortunately she had a chip and wanted to play should of would of could with me about bringing back the product that day. So I advised her if we are playing that kind of game then I should of not bought here and you should of inspected your product before selling it. But either way she got a hold of the manager which was like heaven. He came up to me and asked what can I do to help. And I advised him I just need a tire and I willing to pay for both but moving this big item back and forth was not a option. So he got me the tires and I thanked him several times. So again sir if you are reading this thank you because it did mean a lot for an older person that I am help taking care to keep the fan and...
