Traveling for work I did a google search for places near my hotel. I saw this place and had good reviews so I went for it and did take out. The place has a homey feel and many take out orders were ready to go when I walked in. The menu had a ton of options. From the smells of the place it made me even more hungry. I ordered 2 dishes and the price was good. For all it was $30 out the door with tip. When I got to my room I gasped when I took the food out. It was easily enough food for 4+ people. I just had to laugh. Big portions. With my first bite I did a little dance in my head. Delicious!!!!!! I had a ground lamb and curry with peas and onions. I wish I would have taken the left overs on the plane with me. The biryani was so flavorful and i only had 2 bites. It was probably 4 cups of rice. Both containers were so big. It came with the standard basmati white rice which they did the lovely add of a little spices and some butter ( I think it was butter or ghee (sp)) for sure my next trip with have take out again from this little place in an older strip mall. A true hidden gem. Worth the drive and the happy belly!! If buying for one person, resist temptation to get more than one item. Sooo much food! Living in the Seattle area good Indian or Pakistan food is abundant. The food quantity for the price us unbelievable. If I was in Seattle I would have gotten 1/4 of the food for $30. Basically one dish feeds many. I hope to try their buffet sometime. Indian buffets are one of my favs because you can try all the delights. Oh I forgot to mention. A great touch is they added a container of the cucumber yogurt sauce. I never would have put that on my food and glad I tried it. it was a delightful add and complimented the spice nicely. I am sitting at home in Seattle now and wish I had some of that food! Try it.

Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly hostess. Seating was limited and the atmosphere was takeaway focused. You could tell the restaurant was family ran, as there was a home altar with memorial photos at the entry way and the smell of incense was present, and the food storage area was visible where you could see bottles of water and bags of jasmine rice that were on the ground, so instead of dining in, I respected the space and asked for a menu for takeaway. I ordered a dal tadka, while I normally prefer dal makhani, the garam masala forward flavor won me over, I also ordered chicken 65, chicken vindaloo, lamb tika masala, and a variety of naan. The 65 was fried nicely and the seasoning and flavor was about average. The vindaloo was underwhelming in spice and seasoning, very thin, and tasted more like tomato soup. The tika was average, a bit creamy and light, with a coriander and turmeric forward flavor. The naan was very lightly toasted. They also provided jasmine rice for each entree, which was lightly seasoned. I had requested dishes as spicy as possible, and I was unable to detect any heat, just the flavor of heat, however to note I am a chili-head and understand this is relative for some folks, if you're looking for something spicy like I usually am, you won't be blown away with the spice game presented. Overall the experience was average for an Indian inspired cuisine takeaway experience. The Dal was the best of their offerings tasted, however I did have to ask if they had it, as it wasn't on the menu, which was surprising to see for such a staple dish.

Update 3-2025: new owners and new flavors! Unfortunately there is no more lunch buffet here but that’s true with most Indian restaurants post pandemic. I stopped by here for lunch and was greeted by the nicest young lady who took care of all my needs. I ordered Palak Paneer and it was amazing. It was creamy and the cheese was toasted perfectly. The garlic naan bread was crispy and soft at the same time and the rice was delicious. I finished my lunch with a sweet treat that was amazing. I’ll be visiting more often. Update 2019: I absolutely love this Indian restaurant! It is one of the regions nicest mom and pop Indian spots. I especially loved their lunch buffet. Plenty of choices on the buffet bar and plenty of room to enjoy your meal. It has a pleasant wall painting that sets the entire mood of the room. You are transported to the Far East for your entire meal. I loved the veggie fritters with plenty of sauces. I also loved the mushroom masala dish. Wow the flavors were all amazing. I had a chicken curry dish that had a bright tomato red appearance with a slight heat from a pepper that was delicious. You’re going to love all the sweet choices to end your buffet lunch.
