In order to make the place better in my experience tonight: Not ignore the customers. Actually have someone check on customers in an orderly manner. We arrived at 5:45-5:50 as I wanted to avoid the dinner rush. Make sure that the customers are seated, take drink orders faster than 25 minutes. Then not have the waiter (his name was Erick per his shirt) try to give drink AND food orders that were taken for people who were seated immediately after we were. And both the drinks & food were taken by same waiter & delivered by Erick. I'm not certain who our waiter was. He never said it & I didn't see his name on his shirt. He finally came to our table as I said 25 minutes after we arrived. We stood at the door for close to 10 minutes before seated. The table behind us (closer to the door, by the check stand) came in as we were waiting. They were seated, placed a drink & food order before anyone even acknowledged us. We placed a drink order, 2 waters & a monster raspberry margarita. Which my bf said was good by the way. Our waiter delivered it & took our food order. That was at 6:12 we ordered Pollo Adobe, combination plate with 2 tacos & pork melanasea (or the like). Our waiter came back about 10-15 minutes later stated the pork wasn't available. No big deal (it was, but wasn't) he ordered beef burrito with a green sauce over it. He told that waiter I believe it was Hector who dropped it off it was wrong. But he was delivering another tables orders as well. Our waiter finally came back and we told him this was a wrong order. It was a beef enchiladas with a green sauce. He then took it off the table was going to correct it. But we said no thanks. Just needed the bill so we could leave. That was enough for us. He went to the check stand to pay. The man who (who I believe to be the manager) was checking people out had 1 of 3 teens checking out. He left my bf there to seat a 2 person table behind us. Then walked away just LEFT him standing there! Hector then walked up. He checked us out. The bf voiced his upset and took 2 boxes to our table so our son could pack up his 1 1/2 tacos so he could eat them for lunch tomorrow. I also boxed my food up. It wasn't as good as the menu described. But, I took it as we had to pay for our food. I will add some cheese to the overly sour cream based spinach to take some of the tang away and add moisture to the very dry chicken breast. I would say the best item which was served was the salsa! I would honestly go back to try again. And I'd just order that. As it was not overly flavored of cilantro. Big chunks of onions & tomatoes were yummy as well. Wish it had a little more of a smokey spice. But, it was good on its own. Best of luck on working out the growing pains of a new restaurant. We've been watching & waiting for you all to open. I hope it works out. And also the artwork on the walls were just so colorful & pretty. And the light fixtures above each table...
Read moreTrying to give some grace as it was their first day open. However, my 2 children and I sat for 2.5 hours waiting to be served (or even acknowledged). We watched as 3 different families were seated at the same table one after another - were served, and got their checks and left all before we received our check. The first table was seated after we got there and they ate and left before we even got our drinks. The family that was seated after them mentioned to their server that it seemed we’d been there a while and no one had been to our table - that’s what prompted someone to get us drinks. My kids and I watched as everyone else got served, my daughter even made the comment that she felt like we were invisible. We had to get up from our table to try to find someone any time we needed something. My son ordered cheese dip but never got any chips so we had to share my meal. We asked for a to-go box for my sons cheese dip 5 separate times. Had to ask for our check 3 times only to be asked what we ordered because they forgot. Got up and stood by the front door to try to grab some attention- was asked again what we ordered - went to pay and was asked for our check - that we were never given. Watched as the manager went from table to table asking how everything was and skipped over ours. I’m not the type to complain or cause a scene, especially with my children - so we just waited, it was our night to practice patience I suppose. Servers would look right at us and walk by, if I tried to grab their attention I was blatantly ignored. My kiddos and I don’t often get the opportunity to go out to eat together - so we really look forward to it … but this was absolutely miserable. I pray that no one else receives the kind of service that we did. Hands down the worst service experience I’ve...
Read moreSuper stingy with chips on to go orders, smallest to go cheese dip locally for the price (maybe 6oz, cost $6) and they charge almost $2 to go fee. Not worth it.
I'm on the spectrum so I ask a lot of questions, am very direct, and most people perceive me incorrectly, especially when I'm caught off guard about things I wasn't expecting.
I had wanted to order online but you can't modify 'no beans' thru DoorDash. Was very surprised by the to go fee, as you don't find that ordering inside most restaurants - which I was verbal about not liking, but still tipped. And then when I went back and asked for more chips after seeing how small the bag was, got told that would be an upcharge next time, which I understand. (I usually will ask upon ordering for the single bag they give to just be filled to the top, please don't fold it closed, and as I tried to share that/see if that would be ok next time - because my neurodivergence is so verbal- that's when I was told I was rude and that nothing was in her control (which I understand.... trust me I get it, I know I'm annoying/frustrating, which I why I didn't want to order in person, but I genuinely don't mean to be and tried at that point to tell her but she walked away. So yes, as I left, I repeated the experience wasn't worth the money)
*Also no lunch veggie fajitas 😞 Spent $25 for my fajitas, and cheese dip at noon, and it would have been more with the extra chips in the future. Alas, I won't be back and I really really wanted to love the experience, I'd been so excited to try them.
*To be fair food is good, but not worth...
