Detroit Style Pizza Co. Pizzeria — Restaurant in Saint Clair Shores

Ive ordered here a few times and its been hit and miss. The first time was amazing no complaints. The second time, the pizza and cheese bread was like extra done in which I never requested. I hate burnt pizza. And the third time, I tried ordering. And because there was a communication error between me and the family, I had to call them back to back three times. Which I understand is annoying, but I was nice and I apolygized for the frequent calls. When I called back the third time, again I apolygized, i asked to add more toppings to my order. Thats when the guy immediately got short with me and was like well we have to make a new pizza because we already put it in because the order was out in 10 minutes ago. I had to go look at my recent calls to see when I called and it had only been 6 minutes. Not 10 minutes. And even though I was nice and again kept apolygizing for calling back, I was not happy with the attitude he gave me. If it was already cooking, he could have told me in a more nicer way. Especially since I wasn't being rude at all. And because of his attitude, I refused to go and pick up the pizza. Only because I don't trust that nothing happened "behind the scenes". Ive worked in the food industry, and workers do things behind the scenes especially to the customers who the workers don't like or who annoy them. So I wasnt taking that chance since I did call back to back and he clearly was annoyed with me. But again, he didnt have to have an attitude. And I dont know if someone did something to my order. Alright people. Hear me out. My family use to LOVE this pizza place. Detroit Style Pizza WAS so good. We ordered from them this evening because we had a credit. The credit was from them being super late with the delivery. We called and canceled our order. But they still ended up showing up at our house 2 hours after ordering. But we had alreasy canceled and ordered else where....They gave us a credit (which i am thankful for!!) for when we decide to order next. Well tonight was the night. Almost 5 to 6 months later. And they said they were busy. COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE! It is Friday evening, I get it. We got our pizza after an hour and 10 minutes-ish. Which would have been fine, if the pizza was actually hot still (we live like 5 minutes away, and don't come for me about picking it up myself either, that shouldn't matter) but the pizza was luke warm and soggy. The breadsticks the same. Soggy and tasted like straight up grease. I am so disappointed. I use to LOVE this place. They had the best BBQ Chicken Pizza! Like I said.... I don't mind waiting and it being late, due to being busy. But when I receive my pizza and sticks, and they are barely warm and soggy...it's a no for me. What is going on? I hate to write them off. But this was SO disappointing. And they are NOT cheap! It's like not like we are ordering from little ceasars! Which was better than this to be honest. Just...

I called to order pizza and pepperoni rolls last night. The guy on the phone quickly told me he had no dough I'm inventory for the pepperoni rolls. I then only ordered the pizza and asked for delivery. The guy said I was one block out of delivery zone. I do live in Saint Clair Shores, but he did not want to upset his driver. I quickly just said I'll pick it up. He did however offer a coupon for not coming through for me. I said that would be great. I then arrived to pick up my pizza which was just coming out of the oven and was excellent. I paid for the pizza including a $1 plus coins tip. I then said how about the coupon he offered and he said I'm sorry we have no coupons as they we getting new ones. He said he was, "sorry, maybe next time." Never once acknowledging he had made the offer in the first place. I never complained once, but I did however feel like I was more of inconvenience to the store than a paying customer. I was litteraly thinking the delivery guy's feelings were more important than mine as the customer. The pizza was excellent after I washed the bitter taste out of my mouth. Ill eat there again, but i think a little better management of the store would go a long way. I will recommend the pizza, but I'll also mention to be on your toes to be...
