Been following you on TikTok for a while now and was super excited to come in for ice cream. I’m not far but I don’t ever go to St Clair Shores so this was a special trip. However, I was so rushed and overwhelmed when I got there, it left a sour taste.
You sell an experience in TikTok and that’s what I was looking forward to. I’ve followed you prior to the remodel and wanted to take in the new shop. But it felt like I was a bother to the staff and just needed to hurry up and go.
The store was not that busy. There was a family there who was enjoying their ice cream and no one else to order but me. I was asked if I needed a minute to decide and said yes. I walked the entire ice cream display then looked at the menu above. I was asked if I was ready and said I was going to get a flight to go but needed to decide on the 6 flavors so I started walking the display again. Keep in mind, no one else was there to order. I was asked by a young man if I knew my first 2 flavors so I picked those. Then I was asked if I knew my next two by a young lady and I said not yet. Right after a different young lady asked if I knew my next 2. I still was not sure but just picked the remaining 4 flavors and moved on. So now, 3 people as packing my ice cream (one was half full btw) but I also wanted a cone.
While one young lady asked if I wanted a bag for my flight, a different young lady, almost at the same time, asked if I wanted anything else. I almost didn’t hear her. This is where I really felt overwhelmed. So much going on. It felt like they were rushing me out. So I chose a waffle cone and ice cream. One of the young ladies finally took a little time to show me the difference between a single and double scoop. This was the only time I felt like I could ask a question. I chose the single. As I went to pay, the family was leaving the store. So now I’m the only one there.
I would have loved to stay and enjoy my ice cream to avoid eating it while I drove and to enjoy the shop but instead, I just left.
The ice cream and waffle cone were good. Still excited to try each flavor in my flight. And I see you have spumoni, which my mom loves. So if I do make it to that side of town again, I’ll know what experience to expect. And if you finished reading...
Read moreTheir ice cream was very good. And their portions were more than plentiful. The ice cream was very delicious!
However, as we sat in a booth across from the girls, we noticed the were wearing pajamas! They had their house slippers on, pajama boxers and pajama pants, and their hair up in a big ball on top of their head! The girls were very friendly and cheerful but we found it odd that they looked as if it was a pajama party they were attending and not very professional!
In response to your answer back, YES I did give you 3 stars. As I said your ice cream was very good and the girls were very friendly. I am sure they work very hard serving the public as MANY as us do. I too serve the public as well and feel that I work very hard. I happened to of had my 87 year old uncle with me and he brought it to my attention the dress code you enforce there. But....I feel honestly there are MANY other options for coming to work aside from your pajamas! Working in the public exposes you too so many germs and things that probably to many feel that would be unsanitary. I would NEVER put the same uniform back on after I have slept in it. Let alone serve anyone in my pajamas. I am sorry but I was just stating a fact of what stuck out at your establishment. Hard working young adults that HONESTLY just gave off the VIBE that it doesn't matter at how you present yourself because pajamas are ACCEPTABLE. I feel your wrong. Taking a extra few minutes to tidy yourself up and have some pride and care about yourself is TRULY important as well before getting to work at what is probably a nice summer job and should be teaching the skills of going to work with good...
Read moreNot your ordinary ice cream shoppe. More of a "Craft" ice cream shoppe- think Treat Dreams in Ferndale, excpet they do not make their own ice cream.
Upon walking in as a first time customer, this place is MUCH busier than any other ice cream establishment that has been here in the recent years, after Baskin Robbins left. Seeing this, I was excited to know that they are probably worth the hype. I was not let down. They offer a neat selection of sundaes to choose from or you can build your own. This in addition to flights of ice cream, ice cream nachos, etc.
I ordered their Cannoli sundae, a special for the month of July...along with 5 other people in line. Perfect, now I knew it had to be a great selection. This should be a staple the menu, because dang it was good. You get to choose your flavor ice cream (I chose pistachio, FTW). The ice cream was creamy and fantastic. I noticed I have recently been reacting to some ice creams, depending on where I go, but I did fine with theirs and was super relieved. This sundae had cannoli shell and cream, mixed in layers, with the ice cream, and was topped with a mini cannoli from Tringali's bakery. It was the perfect pairing dancing on my taste buds. Pricing was average. I think for what they offer, it was fair and worth it. The girls behind the counter were working hard to get everyone's orders prepared.
Overall, a nice experience, yet dangerous to my sweet tooth. I will obviously be recommending this place to others and will be back soon enough (but not...
