There are quite a few pros and cons about this little (probably seats about 25-30 ppl) family diner. I'll start with the positive. The prices are low, the meals are decent sized, coffee was fresh, and our service was prompt and friendly.
On the down side, the restaurant needs a good cleaning. In the corners, on the windows (especially entry doors), dust is heavy on fixtures etc. Our group was split on the taste, I thought my omelette was good but the others thought their food was so-so. None of our toast was properly buttered, just a spot in the center, it was soft too, like it had been sitting for awhile and not hot when buttered.
We found hairs on 2 dishes, but did not send the meals back. Not sure if it was the waitress or cook (he did not have on a hat or hair net). I would probably rate this a 2.5, but they don't have that option. Update; I tried the restaurant again, did a carryout of two sausage egg McMuffins, no hash browns or extras, they charged me $10... that's the last time I...
Read moreWe went there for the very first time this morning based on wanting to try a different restaurant. Reading the great reviews online are what sealed the deal for us and let me tell you, we were not disappointed!!
It's a small' Mom and Pop' place and limited parking but it's very worth your time! ALMOST everything on the menu was under $10.00 which my husband and I thought were very good prices. You'll get more than what I believe you pay for. Our order was done in a timely manner and everything was fresh and hot! You can tell it's homemade and not frozen or from a can. The waitress was attentive and very quick to fill up your cup of coffee.
Frank in between orders would come out and greet his customers. He laughed out loud when he saw I went into the lobby/foyer area and took a picture of his life size cutout of Elvis Presley! We chatted for a bit, he's very personable. :)
We will definitely...
Read moreWe came here to try somewhere we haven't visited. The owner and the waitress were very nice and engaging. On Tuesday they have sliders for like 1.80, which you can't even get a MacDonald's for that price. It was better too. We also ordered a BLT and a double cheeseburger. Both excellent. Seems like he cuts his own fries and they are huge and also excellent. We also got the apple pie. We tried their chicken lemon rice and beans soups, both were good. The cup is actually a bowl size. The restaurant is kind of small but there was plenty of room. The one thing that was there was little to no air-conditioning. He had a fan blowing and that helped. It is super hot and humid and it was just a little warm. For three of us with two soups the...
