Wendy's — Restaurant in Saint Clair Shores

My trip to this restaurant was one of the nastiest experiences that I ever had at any restaurant in my lifetime. First, I always like to wash my hands before eating. As I entered the restroom I was hit with a horrible sight and felt germs attacking me streptococcus, staphylococcus, E. coli who knows (I have been to some road stop restrooms and saw some awful restrooms, BUT never in a food place).   This review might have to be in 2 parts.  Upon mentioning this experience of how nasty the restroom is; to the manager she told me (I will look into it).  It’s 10:30am and I am the only customer inside. 2 workers just standing around the 3rd was working.

Either, I shouldn’t have asked her if breakfast or lunch was being served or it could’ve been me mentioning to her about the restroom. Because from this point on she HAD a nasty “disposition”!  Which is worse: a toilet with fecal matter on it, or a hands-free water faucet that DON’T work, or a leader that doesn't care about a place that serves “FOOD”!?

Now I have been supporting Dave Thomas (Wendy’s Foundation financially) since the mid-nineties, because I believe 100% in their “CORE BELIEFS!  I asked for the “Free Frosty” with my key tag in hand. This is when the manager went completely “ignorant and senile” responding to me.  What free Frosty??? Then looking up, seeing my tag and saying OH you have to show it. This type of service and DEMEANOR is totally unacceptable and “EXTREMELY UNACCEPTABLE” coming from a manager.  I received my cup and went to the soda machine only to experience “UNAVAILABLE” on my first 3 choices. Soooo I had to go back to the manager and ask her for a “HiC” fruit punch with no ice. (HiC can sit for hours/days and still taste great) So, why did I receive a red soda with carbonated bubbles? I thanked her anyway and left to go eat in the car.  After 15 minutes I went back in only to go view the restroom. Which had NOT been touched or cleaned!  This Food establishment management at this location has a nasty disposition therefore the workplace is going to be NASTY! One step up from a public toilet potty!

I will no longer support this Wendy's location ever! As for the FOOD I just didn't enjoy it afterwards. I also stopped by the store and bought some Lysol disinfectant to disinfect my shoes and...

Horrible Wendy's!

Walk in, workers just wandering around aimlessly. When the worker does come to the counter, mumbles the entire time and I could not understand a word he said.

Ordered my Son of Baconator PLAIN, so he literally deletes everything on the burger, another person comes over and asks what I wanted in my burger, I literally had to EXPLAIN A PLAIN BURGER AS BUN, BURGER, CHEESE, BACON...BLANK STARES FROM BOTH WORKERS! The second worker stares at the screen and surprised says...OH I THINK HE JUST WANTS WHATS ON THE PLAIN BUTTON!

Proceed to order the tangerine lemonade that they had a huge poster of next to the counter...BLANK STARE from the worker again, he had to go ask the woman worker that helped find the PLAIN button what that was, she ASKS ME WHERE I SAW IT? Had to point to the poster and they stand confused once again and the woman walks off, comes back and angrily hits the button.

Nearly 20 minutes for a 3 item order, fries cold, drink was a ton of, I can hope was tangerine syrup, tasted like pure sugar and ice.

Signs on door stating NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS AND NO BUS RIDERS CAN WAIT FOR BUS...I used the restroom, toilet was full if tissue, and someone just went on top of it and throws more tissue on top of their business. Floor was drenched in urine and wet toilet tissue.

Dined in and random homeless looking woman walks in, begins screaming profanities to whoever she was on her phone with. Entire time I am trying to eat, she screams and no one behind the counter cares.

Food and wrappers all over the floor and tables were filthy.

Now I understand why this location has few parked cars and only a drive thru line of at best 3 cars ever when I drive by.

Food was tasteless other than the tri-color, sugar syrup, hopefully lemonade, and half a cup of ice which literally made me sick after I left.

I will never return to this location, but I recommend the HEALTH DEPARTMENT VISIT REGULARLY FROM NOW ON!!!

I love Wendy's. I just started going here when I moved and every single time, my fries are cold my burger is old like it's been sitting for hours before i was unlucky enough to come by and purchase said dried out burger. The staff is always rude. You can tell they just absolutely hate their job, they dont want to be there, and they deff dont care if they make people sick with old food. One day i grabbed food for me and the family. Everyone agreed the fries tasted like chemicals. It was not right at all. I talked to a friend who used to work at that location. He said he would tell people repeatedly not to clean the fry warmer while fries are still in the warmer... but the staff just doesn't care. So after learning that I'm eating windex I got a little upset. Finally i sent a message to corporate I told them I didn't want anything free at all (that's was their only solution) I want to be able to eat at the Wendy's a quarter mile away from my house. She said I'll check into it with management and she would send me the coupons. Never got the coupons (whatever I didn't really want them). But now the Wendy's by my old house is getting bad to. I'm not sure if they just dont care anymore about their stores but the people they hire really need an additude check. Oh I forgot I always get a burger chz only with cherry coke.
