As a frequent visitor to Gaia's Garden Café, I'm continuously impressed by the exceptional quality and creativity of their all-vegan menu. Their vegan nachos are a standout – a delightful fusion of flavors and textures that tantalize the taste buds. Each bite is a harmonious blend of crispiness from the chips, the creaminess of the vegan cheese, and the fresh zest of the toppings.
Equally noteworthy is their vegan roast beef sandwich, a masterpiece of plant-based cuisine. It's hard to believe that such a succulent, flavor-packed sandwich is entirely vegan. The 'roast beef' is tender and richly flavored, perfectly complemented by the fresh bread and condiments. It's a testament to the chef's skill in crafting vegan dishes that are not only healthy but also deeply satisfying.
The atmosphere at Gaia's Garden Café adds to the overall dining experience. It's a cozy, welcoming space that invites you to relax and savor your meal. The staff's commitment to quality and their friendly, attentive service make each visit a pleasure.
Gaia's Garden Café is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary haven for vegans and anyone looking to explore delicious, plant-based food. Their commitment to freshness, flavor, and innovative cooking makes every meal an adventure. This café is a must-visit for locals and travelers alike – a place where the art of vegan cooking is celebrated...
Read more30 minutes for just 2 small lattes?!
Came in around 2pm. Not busy at all. Placed an order for a small matcha latte and little pumpkin bundt cake to go. My friend ordered the same drink after me. Sounds simple and easy, right?
I was handed the boxed cake right away. Sweet. We noted the barista had another drink to make ahead of ours. It was the same drink we had ordered. Each drink was made one at a time, and somehow it took nearly 25 minutes to get my latte and another several minutes for my friend to get hers.
Three drinks in a row were all the same. Why not make enough for all three drinks at the same time?? But why on Earth does it 30 minutes to make 2 lattes?! We couldn't believe it and we just sat there wishing we hadn't stopped in.
Plus $16 for a pastry and a small latte with that wait? Ouch. Hard pass.
EDIT: ⭐️ up to ⭐️⭐️⭐️ . Refund honored. To answer response, no we did not mention it to our barista as we were sitting right in front of the counter/by the door patiently waiting. They could see us. The rest of the staff was off in the 'back' and not involved.
But I mean, were we supposed to say, "Hey, hi, our drinks are taking too long. Could you please hurry?" That seems rude. If a barista can't self-acknowledge the growing lead times over 2 drinks while the customer is sitting there... there's some training that...
Read moreGaia's Garden is the place to go for anything Vegan. Their menu is 100% plant-based and animal free (including honey, which I didn't know was vegan initially). They offer an amazing array of acai and fruit bowls, avacado toasts, along with sandwiches and breakfast/snack items. A few things you have to try - Nachos - Totally amazing. The queso cheese is insanely good and almost impossible to tell that it doesn't have dairy. If you're vegan or lactose intolerant and miss creamy, yummy queso cheese; this will be you're saving grace! So, so, good! On the same note if you aren't into dairy, another amazing item they have is their ranch! So good and it's a great light snack if you get it with the veggie tray. If you're looking for a great vegan breakfast burrito, they have you covered here as well. Super tasty and comes with some fresh Pico de Gallo. Yum! The cold brew is also a hit, and if you get the almond cold foam on top; you're in for a treat!!
Definitely stop in and check this place out. It is a locally owned and smaller restaurant, so be sure to plan ahead for a short line. They do have a great online/take out ordering system, and we'll usually do that and save a little time if we're on the go.
Love Gaia's Garden! A top-5 in all of St. George in my opinion....
