I'm an over the road driver and BBQ is something I live for so for me to give this type of feedback on a establishment well... So this is a drive thru bbq place, you can walk up to the window and get a menu. The menu has good suggestions but I wanted the brisket mac-🧀 well unfortunately I wasn't able to get what I wanted so I went with the full slab of them 🥓poka ribs. Now the price is $30+tax. Ummm that's not the bad part I don't mind paying for good quality food but at this time naw. The ribs are old and dry as well 🏜️ and most definitely not worth the $30+ dollars. This is a small black owned business and I love to buy black but I will always give my opinion on the money I've spent. If you send that kind of money your ribs should not look are taste like they have been sitting around for a day of Sundays. Right now I'm just disappointed but I'll be back up here one day and I'll try again. Blessings to you all. Maybe next time it'll be...
Read moreBig Daddy & Son’s presents familiar dishes with incredible flavor and affordable prices. The portions sizes are generous, especially when compared to the price of other barbecue restaurants or even fast food joints. The meals are no mere collection of meat and sauces; this barbecue goes well beyond that. In the days of old, when holy men lifted up their voices to call upon the heavens, the heavens answered with Big Daddy & Son’s, and it was good. When the epic bards all gathered together to compose the most beautiful ballads of their age, they looked no further than Big Daddy & Son’s as their muse. This barbecue is more than a quick bite to eat; it is the cosmos, the divine, the hands that made all, speaking to us through food. It is all these things and more. So, treat yourself to some of the finest food in St. Joseph by paying a visit to Big Daddy &...
Read moreNot sure how many stars to give this place because I haven’t ate here yet. I’ve tried a few times during their posted business hours though. The first time I stopped by and they were closed due to a kitchen remodel or something. I tried a few days later, nobody around. Ok, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice…. Third times a charm right? Nope. Door locked and there was a car blocking the drive up lane. There was a fourth try as well, but I’ve learned to call ahead to save time in being disappointed. Closed for a week this time. I get it, things come up, vacations happen, whatever. Maybe update Google or Facebook to let folks know when you’re not going to be open during posted hours. One of these days though I hope to edit this review to say how gr8...
