Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Saint Joseph

First, I will start off with the positive. The drive thru worker was very pleasant and apologized for the extremely long wait. Now, for the rest. This Long John Silver's is probably the worst I have been to. Out of 3 times eating here, each time it took extremely long to get a simple fish and chicken order. I used to work at Long John's and I know for a fact that if you cook the fish and chicken fresh, it takes no longer than 6 minutes. However, for this trip getting one piece of fish and one piece of chicken, it took 13 minutes. Each time it taste like the food was way past the hold times and clearly had been sitting in the crumb bin for quite some time. Hush puppies were very dry and hard, chicken was hard and chewy and fish was very greasy and cold.Each time, one of my items had been forgotten while going through drive thru. This time I went inside to get my missing food item and I was very disgusted. The interior of the restaurant was dirty. The floors looked as though they had been mopped with dirty, greasy mop water without soap. I had to swat a couple of flies from around me as I waited for my item. Unfortunately, the staff inside at the counter and in the kitchen were not as friendly as the drive thru person. When I asked for the item that was forgotten, both the counter person and manager in the kitchen behind the window had looks of disgust. This Long John Silver's has lost a customer for good! I would not advise anyone to go here. You would be better off going to Kansas City if you want good Long John...

I went yesterday and got a fish & chicken platter. I went through the drive thru, ordered the meal and asked for an unsweetened tea. I get to the window and ask for vinegar packets. I get my food but I parked near the building, no vinegar, not even a fork for the coleslaw, so I went in to get some plus napkins as there was also none. I go on my way to where I was waiting for friends to get done with their appointment to eat and I noticed something didn't taste right about the fish, like it was rubbery and I noticed it wasn't cooked thoroughly and neither was the chicken. I've never experienced that before and I was extremely disappointed as I was looking forward to eating something I hadn't had in quite a while. I've been sick since late yesterday afternoon and am still sick and vomiting as I'm writing this. Don't think I'll ever be back to this location in the future. What I was just dissatisfied and a little disgusted the moment I walked up to the cash register to make my order the person working at the counter looked about 11 years old he had Kool-Aid stain on the plaque on his teeth he had dirt under his fingernails and very filthy dirty hands and I think he was someone's son working there because he kept Kim coming out into the lobby and talking to his mom sitting at the table I was just as satisfied with the service all around they were in the back talking and cussing conversations that just should not be talked about at work especially in front of customers the place was filthy dirty all the tables were dirty we had to wipe off our own table I think that the general manager it's time for him to go in and clean house.
