I dont know if this place has changed management recently, but something has gone seriously downhill.
Last week we ordered two bacon double biggie bags through the app. Neither sandwich had bacon. The beef patties were dried out like cardboard and cold. Was told at the drive though speaker to wait because they were in a shift change (at 9:15pm?). Wasn't acknowledged again for another 4 minutes.
Last night, we ordered again. Again, at the drive-thru was told "you gotta wait 5 minutes" with nobodyelse in the line (3:30pm). Not sure what that was about. 5 minutes later and now a line of cars behind me, they take our order. Two Son of Baconater sandwiches and a fish sandwich combo. Again the beef patties looked like they were cooked three days ago and sandwiches were DROWNING in ketchup. There was more weight of ketchup than the rest of the sandwich combined. Made everything inedible. The fish sandwich was OK but the fries were literally raw and still frozen, but coated in cold grease.
A few months ago this place was the better quality fast food joint in town, now it's no better than the 1-star BK...
Read moreI will never go back to Wendy’s in St. Joseph, Michigan on Niles Ave again. The server at the drive thru window last night lied to me twice and withheld my receipt. I asked her if everything was in my bag after I paid for my order. She said yes. I asked if my lemonade was the natural lemonade I wanted and paid extra for. She said yes. When I left, I checked the bag. They shorted me a chicken sandwich and the lemonade was the fountain pop kind, which I did not want. I ordered a sour cream and chive potato. They did not give me butter or sour cream for the potato, just a dried up, nasty plain potato with some dried up chives on top. I had no receipt to prove what I ordered. I called the manager to complain and let him know what happened. The manager hung up on me. I don’t post negatively about restaurants before talking to the manager first. Placed a mobile order via the app to pickup through the drive-thru, app and posted hours say open until midnight. I arrive at 7:50pm and say I have a mobile order at the speaker. I’m told ‘We’re about to close’ and I reiterate that I already placed a mobile order, which they respond to ‘oh, mobile order’…then it’s silence for a couple minutes, and I ask again if my order was received and can I pull up. A worker then opens the back door, leans out and yells, ‘WE’RE CLOSED’ at me. The only saving grace to this was that I could still cancel the order in the app and not be charged.
Proceeded to reorder at the M139 location and had zero issues, order was hot and accurate.
I do not recommend the Southtown SJ Niles Ave location, you most likely will be disappointed.
Side note, this location is in desperate need of a refresh, very old and dated interior...
