Far East — Restaurant in Saint Paul

I went to an amazing show there last night, only to find my phones camera is fried this morning from the lasers that they had there. Then talking to friends today found out 2 other people had their phones cameras fried too and a photographer that was there had his camera damaged from the lasers. This is really dangerous because these lasers can damage eye sight permanently. Luckily it was just my phone. (Although I'm not happy about the $200+ deductable I'm now going to have to pay.)

So other than that, the show was awesome, the music was great, the food and drinks were good and the people there were cool. We were charged different prices for the same drinks but it wasn't a big deal. I just really hope that they fix their laser/light system, because it is pretty dangerous the way they are currently set...

Two stars only because I love the food. What is service? It doesn't exist here. I have been more than a handful of times and every single time it's a long wait for everything. I met with a friend for lunch. We haven't seen each other in years and had a lot to catch up on so I picked Far East because I knew they were going to take a long time. A long time to be seated. A long wait for water. A long wait to order. A long wait to receive order. A long wait to pay. They really are not that busy. So I don't understand why it takes forever to serve. Also water never gets refilled. What are you guys doing back there?!? Anyways my friend and I were able to catch up on every detail of our life since the last 2 years that we've seen each other and they still did not return my card back to me...

Waitresses and waiters are great. Calling to make an order for pick-up has always been a good experience. The pad thai receives 5 stars from my partner and I. We only go here for pad thai. To us, it's the best pad thai we've ever had. Been going there for the past year. Pad thai has mostly stayed the same, so it's a good thing. I also really like their fried rice dishes. Fried rice receives 5 stars from me. The reason for 3 stars (overall) is because: 1.) Bathrooms are terrible; 2.) The wait staff takes forever to come back to the tables to refill our water and/or give us our bill; and 3.) The dining booths are not sturdy - whenever I try to lean forward, the seat comes off the booth. If the restaurant can work on these things, then the restaurant will receive 5 stars...
