Hard to call ahead to place an order for take-out!!! You might have to call several times in a row to get an answer, so I would say order online, or else if you have special requests then you might be better off ordering in person and waiting. The ladies behind the counter aren't fluent in English, and they answered in Spanish the one time someone did pick up. I was calling to see if they changed their closing time because of Covid, but the line hung up before I could ask so I just went in... so if anyone is wondering, YES they are still open until 12:00 AM most nights (and will accept takeout orders past that if people are still dining it seems) and 4:00 AM on Fridays! This is why I started coming, because so many places in the area are closing too early for me to make it now.
The food is made pretty quick if you order there, or within 10-15 for takeout. It is average quality for typical Mexican street food, and decent prices. The rice is not the best quality and a little bland, so I personally would use my rice at home unless it comes with the meal, but the beans and other sides are decent. I personally enjoyed the enchiladas and the plantains, although the plantains were sweet enough without the condensed milk so I'm glad they put in on the side instead of on top.
They have 3 main salsa/sauces (red is mild, darker green salsa is medium 🌶 spice, and light green sauce is very🌶🌶 hot). I personally wish they had something between the mild and medium, and I prefer more flavor over pepper in my hot sauces. The first time I ordered, I asked for mild and the lady at the register gave me the light green🌶🌶🌶 which had my mouth on fire after testing (I think because she did not understand what I was asking for) so if you don't speak Spanish just know your sauces ahead!!!
The desserts don't seem so special compared to other places for the price, so I haven't tried any other than the fried plantains, which I knew I would like. Good place to go if you want something other than fast food for late at night. Would give 5 stars if they had better quality rice & veggie options, and if you could replace beans instead of meat (for no extra charge) to make any dish into a...

Read moreI did have a post last night, loving this restaurant and wanted to communicate better with English. After eating my meal of chicken bureto; I had more rice and lettuce, beans than I did chicken. I actually made me nauseous. This is the third time eating there but the 1st time the food was not good. It was like chewing plastic. Some of the lettuce was not digestible. Disappointed spending $42 for 2 beef and 1 chicken bureto with hardly any mean. Maybe because of shortage of supplies? A restaurant only gets one time to mess with my stomach 😩. I won't order those ever again. I asked for the elote in a cup. Didn't get it like I had it before and not alot of the fixings either. I asked several times for 2 orders of plantains. Didn't get it,it wasn't added on and now I didn't want it. 😕 I am very disappointed with the whole experience yesterday Sunday evening after 7:30pm. Just lost...
