update 12/11/23
I still rate this the #1 Pho spot in St Paul, I've now visited over 50 times and the service is always prompt, the owner without fail will always stop by the table to say hi and the food is consistently fantastic. Probably my #1 restaurant in the city at this point.

Pho Pasteur is still one of the best spots for pho in the Twin Cities. I have eaten at a number of pho spots and still rank this as my #1. Their Banh Mi's are fantastic and for $5 each you can pick up large steamed buns which are always freshly made the night before. The go to order is their Lemongrass Soup, truly a delight in the winter.

I am increasing my review to 5 stars!! I have been to this place probably 10 times now and the soups just keep getting better and better, I went in today and was served food within 5 minutes of ordering. I said in my original review that I was excited to see how this restaurant improves from opening day and today I am adding that extra star, I love this restaurant and their food will be keeping me warm through winter!
I have just finished my first bowl of opening day Pho at Pho Pasteur and I can safely say, for my order at least, that this place is worth the money!
I ordered a Pho Tai, the broth was delicious, hearty and salty. The portion size was good, a nice amount of noodles and plenty of sliced beef. The chilli oil was spicy and delicious, always my favourite addition to my pho. The pho was $10 a bowl, I would 100% go back to order a pho Tai!
My wife ordered the Pho Chay which is vegetable broth with veggies and tofu. The tofu was tasty and the bowl was a bigger portion than the pho Tai with plenty of veggies and noodles. However the broth was very very sweet and not what I expected it to taste like. We still finished the entire bowl though!
This place has a big menu with affordable prices, I'm excited to see how it improves as time passes and I believe it is worthy of a 4 star review on its opening day!
I will be going back for a Banh Mi and boba tea at...
Read morePlease I you are black or have some Colors don’t try it. I Was stick, craving spicy soups,l for 3days. My fiancée did a quick google search and we headed to the restaurant. We try ordering but right there the women was disrespectful, speaking to me like I can’t understand her or I’m a kid even if she was messing with order. We finally got thought that and took a sit, when other costumers entered my fiancée notice the welcome was different we had side eyes they had big smiles. But I recently moved from Minneapolis those stuff doesn’t bother me as much. But then I wanted to grab some of the hot sauce on the table for my pho, when the women came to me yelling why was I taking hot sauce and that everything will be in my take out bag from the kitchen. I explained I’m here just because I want something really spicy but she won’t hear anything. She even said we have to pay for extra sauce and that those are really expensive . To which we both replied paying is not an issue but went on yelling and I had to asked he to stop yelling. When the food came out I doubled check and there were no hot sauce just hoisin sauce went to her and she still insisted we could not have more. Left so frustrated but hoping I would still get the extra jalapeño I asked for. Got home 3 slice of jalapeños and I wasn’t able to eat the pho. Wish I could give 0 star but had to give for the review. They are only friendly to...
Read moreI had the chance to visit Pho Basil with a group of friends, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with plenty of space and seating, we were immediately seated despite being a party of six. The menu offered a wide variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes and beverages. I ordered the Tai Bo Vien in an XL size because I was craving both steak and meatballs. The portion was incredibly generous which was enough to cover both lunch and dinner for me Hahaha! It came with a side of fresh vegetables, and I appreciated the complimentary cold water. One of the highlights was the condiment station, which had a wide selection of spices and sauces to customize your pho just the way you like it. For such a large portion, the total cost came to $25.98 including tip, which felt like a great value. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout our visit. There’s also a conveniently located men's restroom inside the restaurant and a spacious parking lot nearby, making the overall experience even more comfortable. Highly recommended if you're looking for flavorful Vietnamese cuisine in a...
