I had a mix up while ordering online and ended up accidentally double ordering—I recognize where this initially was my bad. When I got to the restaurant's drive-thru, I was asked if I had two orders, I reported that no, I didn't but I had trouble ordering online and worried my order went through twice. I went to the window, received my order, asked the employee about the double order and I understood from I was told that someone inside could help me if I was interested in working this out. I parked, tried to go inside, only to find the doors locked (as this location closes their lobby at 4, which I understand), had to walk around to the drive-thru for an employee to let me in. I was told to wait, I did so quietly, and after some time, I received the duplicate order that I had been trying to get voided. When I asked about canceling it/seeing if we could make a refund possible as I didn't want this duplicate bag, I was told by the same employee that I needed to cancel my order online (when I had never even received a second receipt). I do not blame the employee, there were maybe four to five people working, all in the kitchen just struggling to keep up with orders (and who could blame them when no one apparently knows how to void a duplicate order), I'm just frustrated because I thought I'd been clear I wanted a refund, not double the chicken, but I took it and left. Chicken tenders and sides were subpar. Tenders felt thin, tough, and almost jerky adjacent. The sides were simultaneously bland and seasoned to an unpalatable degree while overcooked to mush. Reggular chicken was alright I suppose, but as the chicken was intended for my grandparents who need softer foods, they couldn't eat it either. So, if you've got the money to burn and the teeth to chew, everything was lovely, sides aside. Otherwise, perhaps reconsider another spot. My experience does not represent everyone's at this location, and it's likely I had terrible luck with the spot alongside just having a bad start with my order, but I am satisfied to...
Read moreI absolutely LOVE Popeye's fried chicken and I have no complaints about this location's food, but if I owned this franchise, I would DEFINITELY get a new manager! Whoever the manager is, they should have had a supervisor working on Saturday (11/23/24) evening because the workers who were there were obviously not responsible enough to be left on their own. I pulled into the parking lot at 9:21 PM (knowing that they close at 10PM) but I was confused because all of the signage and most of the other lights were turned off but I saw a couple of cars waiting in the drive-thru so I pulled up to order. When I tried to order, I was told by some male teenager that they didn't have any food left and I asked him what time it was. He said that it was 9:21 so I asked him what time they closed. He said that they closed at 9:30. I knew that he was lying, but I have seen too many horror stories of vengeful restaurant workers getting even with customers they are mad at so I just drove away. When I did, I saw that there were now three cars that had pulled up behind me. It felt like a case where the patients were running the insane asylum! I do not recommend wasting your time going to this location. It's worth your while to drive a little farther to another one as this one is managed very poorly based on my experience and what I have read in other reviews...
Read moreTried Popeyes for the first time this weekend and I’m mad at myself that it took this long. Overall, the food was delicious and the service at this location was exemplary. We ordered from the drive thru and got the basics: a chicken meal, tenders, slaw, biscuits, and sauce. The breading on their chicken is crispy and delicious. The tenders were good, but noticeably not as flavorful as the bone-in chicken, which went well with the Louisiana hot sauce. The coleslaw stood out too; they put dill in it for a great pickly flavor that cut through the richness of the chicken, and it wasn’t overly sweet like it tends to be at other places. Though a bit on the dry side, the biscuits had a buttery, nostalgic taste and went well with the honey they gave us. The drive-thru line extended out into the street, so you know they’re doing something right. That said, don’t be surprised if you have to wait or push to defend your spot in line. The drive thru cashier had a really great attitude and talked with us and cracked jokes which made the wait that much more worthwhile. I hope to be back soon and try the rest of the menu. Prices...
