I never leave a review for nothing but today I’m using my Son deal to leave this review. First I want to say I’ve been coming to this WC since 1998. It was the old WC before they did a whole revamp of this place. I miss the lil stools for seating. Back to why I’m leaving this review. First I want to say whatever energy you come in with is what you are going to get back. Period. Due to the location these workers at WC go through more than St.Paul Police. They are right on the corner of the busiest street in St.Paul. I’m shocked they are still open and that’s why they need to be Appreciated more. Rasheeda I’ve known for years and she is one of the hardest workers I know. She helps out at other WC’s and never miss a beat. Rasheeda can work drive thru, answer the phone, take the fries out the grease and take a counter order all at the same time. She’s Great. Now Midnight Mike I just met. ( I call him midnight Mike because he works the midnight shift). I haven’t had any breakfast sliders in awhile. I was hesitant to get breakfast because I didn’t see Rasheeda and everyone else seemed new but I tried my luck anyway and I’m glad I did. I stop eating WC breakfast but Mr. Mike made me a sausage slider combo and I couldn’t move out the lot lol. That was the freshest, hottest breakfast outside home I’ve had in awhile. You know it’s hot & fresh if I’m sitting in the lot on rice & university and can’t move lol. I was full with a smile. I had to wait about 5 minutes to start my car and pull off. Thank You Rasheeda for running and keeping up a restaurant in that part of town with all the madness, blanket kids, and maggots you still working hard as ever. The restaurant was clean. No one loitering outside. You really made my day today. Midnight Mike Thank You as well for the smile, fresh food and checking on me to make sure I was ok after eating. Best...
Read moreOrdered several items to try since I've never seen one of these locations and often buy their frozen sliders from the store. First impressions: The service sucked really bad, they forgot items I ordered, the food wasn't good, and I didn't feel great afterwards. The woman taking the orders was short and snotty since I had to keep repeating what I wanted. The speaker volume was so low, that I turned the car off and could still only barely hear her speaking. It also seemed like she couldn't hear me very well on her end. She was rude at the window as well. Took my payment, gave me the food, and said nothing but, "here ya go". Upon driving past the window and looking into the bag, I realized they didn't give me a few of the items I ordered. Not even sure if I paid for them... don't care 2bh. It wasn't worth my time to go back around and deal with her a second time. I ate about half the food. Some of it was dry and tasted weird, so I passed on it. About a half hour later, my stomach was pretty unhappy. I guess I'll stick to the frozen store bought sliders. They're somehow better than the "fresh"...
Read morePlace on University and Lexington WAS a better place to be and enjoy some sliders, but now...the light-rail came and ruined everything. The Castle now attracts a shady, bummy crowd and even though I am middle-aged male fully capable of handling myself, most of the customers seem to be grey-haired retirees, homeless and trouble makers set on hanging out no matter what, I am no longer comfortable being a customer at any level; drive through or walk-in. It seems like the employees in general, are payed equal or less than they were as everything, except the food has suffered greatly. If customers are unruly, the employees care less about what they are doing, and everything suffers. I didn't realize the light-rail could or would be capable of changing so drastically, a whole restaurant just by bringing in more people, but that is what has happened. I now go out of my way to West St.Paul for my fix of...
