Excellent place for a protest. I marched with thousands of other Minnesotans to protect reproductive rights! Vote for Democrats in November so women can continue to have the right to choose an abortion if they need to. The extreme Republican Supreme Court just allowed states to take away people's right to choose - and they are going after the right to contraception and the right to marry who you choose next. Nice area with lots of monuments and great views of downtown St Paul. Would suggest this stop for any traveler looking for a low cost attraction. All you have to do is pay for parking. Was never here before but spent about two hours walking around looking and reading all the various points of interest in the capitol lawn.
