We have been long time supporters/ticket holders of this great venue. We attended the last week of River Road Boogie - Augie Garcia Story. It was a great show - maybe the best we have seen!
But with the great history of brewing beer in St. Paul (see StarTrib June 13, 2015 Variety Section), we were so disappointed that the theatre's bar was supplied with beers from anywhere BUT Minnesota. We love our Minnesota beers - from Hamm's; to Grain Belt; to Surly; to Summit; and dozens of others. And, we have actually brewed our own at St. Paul's Vinepark Brewing Co.

This represented (to me at least) a larger-than-needed spend of the production's budget on a one-and-done device that dud nit advance the plot or help...
Read morePerformances here are usually outstanding, which is why we attend. That said, they would benefit greatly from some professional consultation on "user experience" in terms of how they manage the commons space immediately outside the theater (where people hang out when not in the theater). For instance, serving beverages closer to the entrance creates unnecessary congestion that makes it very difficult for patrons of any ability (let alone those with less mobility) to make their way through the crowd. Some additional seating options would also help, further from the main entrance to encourage patrons to congregate...
