China Star — Restaurant in Saint Peters

This place has terrible customer service. At work, we try to order as an office to get multiple orders at once...we won't be ordering from here anymore. The food is adequate but it comes with a NASTY SIDE OF 'ATTITUDE'. Several times they have refused to take orders, lectured us about calling them and purposely hung up on us...the people trying to give them money. These actions have occurred on multiple occasions with different people. I tried to reach out to management to try and identify the problem. Their complaints with us are that 1) Our employees often call during peak hours (5PM-7PM) a.k.a. ‘‘dinner’ time, 2) drivers complain our location is too far for convenience (we are 8 min away and they stated themselves it is a 20 min round trip), 3) they have to wait for the employees to come to lobby (the last time I checked...that's how delivery works...you call, they come, you pay and they return to their work...and everyone parts as friends and hope to meet again soon). I suggested that they could call when close to cut down on wait time, but apparently they were having none of that.... After discussing these issues, I was told (not very politely) that they just rather not have our business. If you want to eat here, you just have to do it at their convenience and not during the traditional evening dining times. China Star Management rather alienate an entire office and organization than do some top-notch customer service and deal with some...

I have been a faithful customer for years but the last 3 months or so the food has been TERRIBLE!!!!!

The owners seem to never be around anymore and the quality is suffering!!! Tonight I got my usual St Paul sandwich, they used bread and butter pickles rather than the usual hamburger pickles and it tastes disgusting. Last order my fried rice was burnt. The time before that my chicken was burnt.

I used to tip and every once in awhile the staff would give us a thank you in return like a bottle of soda or an extra crab rangoon. Needless to say they don't do that since the owners stopped working in house, and after the last three trips I'll never tip again if I even decide to go back.

Please look at my online order history! We usually order from your store every Sunday. I know how your food is supposed to taste, and something is definitely wrong!!!

By the way, I would have loved to speak to the owners any other way than a public Google review but there's no way to get a hold of them. I've even tried to message them on Facebook but no one monitors their page.

PS- please clean up that disgusting fish tank behind the counter. It's covered in mildew, grime and mold... not...

Well, we need to find a new Chinese place. Picked up my food. Got home, sat down to eat and a piece of metal was in my food!!! I called them and they were very nice. Said they'd give my money back. But as soon as i got there their tune changed and were very rude! They asked to see it so I threw it in the rice and took the rice up with me. They said oh it was in the rice? I told them I didn't know if it came out of the rice or the chicken. I just threw it in the rice container since it was easy to carry. She said well rice is $1. I can give you a $1. I said No! I drove here twice. Brought my kids with me out in this heat. Woke my daughter up to come back you're giving me more than a $1 for my inconvenience. So then two men come out from the back. Ask to see the metal. Then asked me 2 more times did it come out of the rice or the chicken. He said well I can give you $8 back. My food was $17!!!! I snatched the money out of his hand and stormed out. We order from here all the time but you better believe we won't ever again! China Star...
