Wow! Bagel with ham, bacon, up egg, and a drizzle of idk what special sauce?! The bomb! Yep, it was the best breakfast in town! And don't let the words c.fries scare you. That stands for country fries. Sliced potatoes, fried browned, add your own salt and pepper which is great cause my I like it heavy, but my Mom and Dad can't have salt at all like most people. I tossed on hot sauce, which might I add was on the table all ready! No begging involved for any condiments here!!! From 4 kinds of jelly, syrup, ketchup, mustard, to margarine packets, etc. Etc. Were nice and neat on the table off to the side and not even overwhelming out of the way. Waitress was fast and efficient. Only negative thing I have to say is wear socks the place was cold. But I will say this I whispered to my mom I loooove this little whole in the wall, but toes are frozen. I wish I would've worn socks had I known. A second later I said do you feel heat on your face? They turned the heat on for me because they were so tentative to please and I only had whispered not even to them. I'll be back with my dad tomorrow! I suggest everyone gives it shot and don't keep just driving by, like I did, saying I want to try that place. Oh they have great coffee... that should give you an idea about the food. Not many places can say they have the best breakfast in town, but...
Read moreA few weeks ago, I ordered the sausage and gravy at Ham and Egg in Harvester, Missouri, and found it lacking in flavor. However, I usually like to try things twice to give them the benefit of the doubt, so my girls and I decided to return for breakfast this morning.
The place itself is clean and intimate, creating a cozy atmosphere for dining. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the Keto Bowl, corned beef, scrambled eggs with sausage and bacon, French toast, and pancakes.
To be quite honest, their food is just okay. The home fries that came with our meal were particularly disappointing. They were thinly cut potatoes that seemed almost mashed but not quite, which made them lack the typical fried texture one would expect. Additionally, they were quite bland and could have used more seasoning.
I don’t even want to talk about the corned beef.
The service, unfortunately, added to our lackluster experience. When we asked our waitress for hot sauce, she gave us a bottle of Tabasco with little to nothing in it. She also never came back to check on us throughout our meal. I had to ask someone else for the check and a to-go box.
Overall, while Ham and Egg offers a pleasant dining environment, both the food quality and service leave much to be desired. The experience was decent, but it didn't quite meet our...
Read moreI would suggest ordering online or door dash because those are the orders that take priority to the people sitting in the restaurant. We waited for about 30 minutes after we placed our order and the host said “there was a surge of online, door dash, uber so the line is taking a little we apologize for the wait” which was fine we were understanding and just chatting having our coffee. Then two customers asked were there food was because they have been there for over 40 minutes and the waitress said “ i’m going to be honest with you, they haven’t even started it.” those customers got up and left. Another 15 minutes goes by and we ask the same thing and the waitress told us the same thing, that they haven’t started it yet. We are so annoyed because all these people waiting for online orders and coming and going with their food and the people sitting and waiting in their restaurant are sitting are last in line. We said we are leaving and the waitress yelled across to ring us up for the coffee. the waitress has been very nice up until this point. We thought that was just crazy. The host, who was very nice, told us not to worry about it and we left. It was disappointing and probably won’t...
