Took in a phone for repair because it wouldn't charge. After two weeks, and no answers, we demanded to have the phone returned. Mr. Mobile claimed he replaced the charging port, and found it still didn't charge. But after no helpful customer service, we decided to get our phone back. When we returned home, to see if we could get it to charge, we found that it had no charging port at all! Some repair, eh? I personally don't believe Mr. Mobile was doing the repair. It seems he had hired the service out, because he couldn't give any answer besides saying that he needed to do more testing.
I really cannot let Mr. Mobile's response to my original reivew go without further response. Please see his response. Believe me, there was no yelling, not at all. No one notified us there would be soldering. Mr. Mobile is the one who stated the charging port needed to be replaced, not us. No one mentioned that the phone had moisture in it, until we were speaking face to face. No one explained that fixing the phone would cost more than buying a new one. This was only explained on our last visit to the store. After getting no real and reliable feedback from Mr. Mobile, even while we stood in the store and asked for answers, the wisest and most logical path was to ask for our phone back. He simply did not sound like he knew what he was talking about. He was the one that told us that replacing the charging port did not work. If it did not work, then why didn't it have a charging port on it when the phone was returned? I wish for Mr. Mobile the best, and hope he will find some lessons learned from this scenario. While there I even tried to help him understand why helpful and regular communication with customers is important, even if you don't yet know the solution to the problem. I am astonished at the defensive position that Mr. Mobile has taken regarding this situation. Rather than expressing his apologies, or explaining the possibilities as candidly as possible, he chose to treat us like we were the ones causing the problem. This simply isn't true. We just wanted our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy computer was acting up and failing to boot, so I called up this place and spoke with Aziz, whom asked I bring it in. He took a look at it and let me know the hard drive was fried, and offered to order a part and replace it. When I asked him how much it would cost, all he kept telling me was "market price", and would not give me a number, until I showed him a $160 part on my phone, and he said he would charge $200 for everything. When I let him know that I would think about it and wanted my computer back, he got offended somehow, and kept asking me "why do you want your computer back? Is it because you don't trust me?", eventually relenting and giving it back.
I took the computer to his store two days later for the repair, he let me know he had the part, and I asked for the box when he was done. He told me he would call me when it was done. 5 hours later, I had still not received a call, so I dialed him, and he said everything was finished to come in. When i received my computer back, on the way home, I noticed he had given me a cheaper, $140 dollar part instead, and still charged the $200 cost.
I went to plug my computer in, and found it would not start. I called to ask him why, and all he could say was "it does work, I tested it in my workshop. You're using the wrong keyboard and mouse and should try a different one." and offered for me to bring it back tomorrow to prove it works. I did some digging, and found he had unplugged my CPU power supply. When I plugged it back in, I noticed he had set a temporary password on my new hard drive and never told me what it was. I texted him immediately to ask what the password was, and he did not respond with the credentials until two business days later.
Overall, extremely rude and unhelpful, very condescending, dishonest, and unprofessional. I would not recommend this store to anybody I know...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a good 1st experience before so I went back to replace the battery on my iPhone SE (2nd Gen). Phone was working fine but battery health was 74%. After they replaced it with their non-Apple battery, the home button suddenly stopped working. I am thinking it has to do with the non-apple battery but they reassured me it wasn't the battery? They didn't even mention that they could have replaced it with an Apple battery (which I would have willing to pay the extra $20) until afterwards. They unintentionally broke my phone & couldn't fix it. I didn't want to purchase from them & just told them to put my old battery back. After they put they old battery back, my phone just kept dying and the old battery was no longer functional. Went from 74% health to zero. They took the phone back and tried to fix/reset it and got my phone to work for 5 minutes. As I was about to leave, my phone died again. This happened twice. At this time, I had no other choice but to buy their battery, I told them to replace it with apple battery, but maybe they misheard & a non-apple battery was installed for the $50 price (normal price as apple battery was 70). At this time it had been about 2 hours & did not have time to replace it with the apple battery, so I just paid it & left. They mentioned that with phones this old 2020~ish that it's probably better just to buy a new one, but they literally fix phones older than mine. They also had a 2018 phone they offered me, which I would have bought if my phone had been fixed properly. They did try their best and was friendly. Should have just gone to the apple store and paid an extra $20 for a replacement with less hassle. I would normally recommend this store, but I am left with a phone that has a new battery but a home button that...
