Mr Empanada - St. Petersburg — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

I was hungry and couldn't decide what I wanted as nothing came to mind until I was walking past Mr. Empanadas and decided to go in. Glad I did because it was absolutely enjoyable! The place was clean and welcoming with a pleasant staff. The prices are inexpensive with the quality-quantity reasonable. I got the Italian Sausage and Cheese and total was amazed. Also ordered the Crab but I didn't care it because it seems to have tomato sauce and I don't care for red sauces. However, the crab was tasty which you can actually taste the crab. Then I ordered the Spanish Soup with rice and thought of Miami where I am from because of seasonings. A generous portion so I brought some home with the extra Italian Sausage and Apple empanadas (which I am eating at this moment). I have been in the restaurant industry for years I believe in letting this company know their hard work and dedication is paying off. Thank you for all your efforts and having a store in St. Pete. Tried this place for the first time today because they have Spanish Bean Soup and empanadas. I walked in and asked for a bowl of soup, the girl said fine and rang it in. Then I said I'd like to try an Empanada, so she added that. Minutes later she handed me the bag, I walked out. Got to the other side of town discovered only an Empanada in the bag. I called back, the girl didn't know what to say, handed the phone to owner who got on and I explained the problem. His only reply was well we don't have any soup today! I said well why did the girl not say that when I ordered? He said it didn't matter I was not charged for it. Can you believe this? From the traditional beef, chicken, to the crab and even sweet guava and cheese this is a great place to grab a bite. Currently they have a seasonal pumpkin spice and cheese empanada on the menu. This is a local franchise and there are a handful of locations throughout Tampa and St. Petersburg. This location is close to downtown and offers catering and delivery options through DoorDash and GrubHub. There is a child meal option. Catering consists of platters of mini pastries.
